Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Enterprise Operations, Supply Chain Networks in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the planning, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, delivery and logistics of clients business processes to create a strategic, competitive advantage. Provide consulting services to clients in the consumer and industrial products, life sciences and technology industries. Implement and assist in overseeing the quality of deliverables and effectively work with various teams. Lead small engagements and components of large, complex engagements. Develop, maintain and help grow client relationships and participate in projects from planning through to execution. Use six-sigma methodologies (perform time-study analysis and create value stream maps) to analyze plant wastes and identify plant operation improvement opportunities using MS Visio, Advanced Microsoft (MS) Excel, and Advanced Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint. Perform network optimization analysis to reduce freight, warehousing, and distribution expenses using analytics tools including IBM LogicNet Plus, and visualization tools including Tableau. Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Fleet right-sizing analysis to help drive Buy vs. Lease, and fleet buying decisions, using analytical and visualization tools including MicroStrategy, Google Scripts, Tableau, Advanced MS Excel, and Google Sheets. Assess and transform working capital management by improving functions of inventory management, demand & supply, planning & forecasting, optimizing Safety Stock, and reducing Excess Inventory using Tableau, VBA Macros, Advanced MS Excel, and Advanced MS PowerPoint. Develop current and ideal future state process flows for supply chain process improvement initiatives using MS Visio, Appian, Smartsheets, Advanced MS PowerPoint, and Advanced MS Excel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering (any), Business Administration, Computer Science, Technology or a related field.

  • Two years of experience as a Senior Consultant, Mechanical Engineer, or a position in a related occupation.

  • Must have two years of experience with:

  • Using six-sigma methodologies (performing time-study analysis and creating value stream maps) to analyze plant wastes and identify plant operation improvement opportunities using MS Visio, Advanced Microsoft (MS) Excel, and Advanced Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint;
