Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Core Business Operations, Core Industry Solutions in Chicago, Illinois and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Advise, select, design, implement, optimize, and operate industry specific On-Premise software and Software as a Service (SaaS) across various industries. Drive innovative and transformative technology solutions, including creating effective strategies and roadmaps that directly align with and support business and technology objectives. Architect enterprise, customer, and operating model strategies and advise on how to grow business and achieve target cost structures. Provide organization leaders with the capabilities and tools to build flexible, innovative business models that create and capture value for the organization, supported by a strong operations foundation. Provide support in developing and documenting internal business services processes and metrics in alignment with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools to produce analysis and algorithms that help businesses make better decisions. Assist in developing a shared services organization and improve back-office efficiencies by eliminating duplication and streamlining processes with a focus on stakeholder management via feasibility studies, global best practices and standards, industry benchmarks, and process scopes. Lead business case analysis to understand opportunities for cost optimization; help organizations deliver critical programs by enabling them to make better business decisions on the cost, schedule, performance, and risk of programs. Analyze industries to synthesize quantitative and qualitative financial information on the market, key players, and industry trends; and analyze financial statements and budgeting processes to identify cost levers for reduction and optimization. Create project management templates, which may include, but not limited to communication plan, steering committee reports, status reports, issue risk reports, defect tracking, resource heat-maps, change control process.

  • 80% travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Economics, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Performing Unit testing, Regression testing, and defect resolution in HPQC (Quality Center) and HP ITSM (IT Service Management) for standard and custom developments;

  • Developing functional specifications for custom development and interface with external systems via IDocs (Intermediate Documents)/EDI (Electronic Document Interchange) using document management tools;

  • Preparing current state vs future state diagrams using Microsoft (MS) Visio during implementation projects to lead design approval meetings and receive integration design approvals;

  • Creating and testing Federal financial data reporting systems for State clients to expense State Medicaid expenses to the Federal government, using Cognos Analytics;

  • Assessing Healthcare clients' software tools and application configuration, identifying and documenting opportunities for improvements in Jira to monitor and document risks;

  • Assisting in system designs by configuring Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) products to integrate with the existing software, adapting to new technology, and upgrading interfaces to improve system performance; and

  • Coordinating the development staff and team members to evaluate and design Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) Services.

  • 80% travel required nationally.
