Deloitte Research and Innovation Intern – Deloitte Leader Development & Performance (Summer 2019) - Detroit MI, Chicago IL, Austin TX in Chicago, Illinois

We are seeking an intern to support our Leader Development and Performance Team through research and practical application of technologies. An internship with LD&P will give you access to Deloitte s Talent thought leaders and an opportunity to form a perspective on the biggest new hire challenges. The internship will also provide you a chance to expand project management, research, writing, and critical thinking skills.

Work you ll do

The Deloitte US Firms brings in more than 30,000 newcomers each year. As our newcomer population becomes more diverse, our ability to innovate and leverage relevant technology solutions is a priority. The more we innovate, the greater our need for proof points to inform our investment decisions. As an intern, you will plan and coordinate research efforts necessary to identify and evaluate solutions. You will also inform technology design and development efforts based on relevant internal and external research. You will build conclusions that support a point of view and recommendation.

Specific deliverables for this role include:

Define and manage a research and innovation project plan across internal and external teams

Compile new and existing data sets to share with analytics teams

Analyze data using advanced statistical techniques and tell a story with the results

Prepare recommendations for newcomer technology informed by internal and external research

Qualifications

Graduate level coursework in I/O Psychology or Organizational Behavior; must be currently enrolled or completed

Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail

Superior communications skills, both written and oral

Experience conducting research, preferably in an applied setting

Ability to work independently; develop project plans and communicate status; research and collect data from unique places

Ability to get along with a diverse group of professionals in a highly dynamic atmosphere

Strong understanding of all Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Flexibility and adaptability

Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills; ability to think creatively

Build relationships and credibility with internal clients by demonstrating consultative skills

Ideally will exhibit an interest in leveraging technology to shape behavior
