QRM Deputy Senior Manager- Risk & Financial Advisory

Work You'll Do

Deloitte Advisory's organization is seeking a Quality & Risk Senior Manager who will be responsible for supporting strategic initiatives aligned with Advisory's strategy and growth targets. Candidates must have extensive experience in evaluating risks and rewards related to consultative services and driving appropriate collaboration to enhance speed to market.

Key job responsibilities include:

Guidance and support to senior business leaders within the firm

  • Serves as a point of contact for various strategic initiatives related to quality and risk

  • Serves as liaison between business leadership and the Office of General Counsel and others (National Risk, Talent, etc.) to drive consultation on quality and risk matters, and enhance speed to market

  • Advises business leadership on potential quality and risk management issues related to various services

  • Provides guidance on risk mitigation strategies, contract formation and management, as well as project governance

  • Facilitates internal compliance with contract terms, risk management policies and procedures, and management directives

Evaluates engagement specific artifacts with respect to risk and quality matters

  • Proposals- Consults with engagement teams and other areas as required (e.g., Office of General Counsel) on Requests for Proposals, and evaluates proposal submissions with respect to risk and quality matters

  • Contract Negotiation - Involved in the evaluation and negotiation of professional services contracts (e.g., Master Services Agreements, Engagement Letters, Statements of Work, Change Orders, Subcontractor Agreements) with a primary focus on identifying potential risks and providing advice and guidance with respect to reducing and mitigating such risks

  • Deliverables - Evaluates client deliverables from a quality perspective with a focus on adherence to contractual requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Client Service delivery and/or relevant management experience

  • BBA/BA/BS in related field, master's degree is desirable

  • Location: Flexible

Preferred Skills:

  • Significant experience in evaluating varied services and negotiating various agreements as identified above.

  • Significant experience in advising business teams on developing contracts and risk mitigation plans

  • Understanding of the different types of sensitive data (PII, PHI, etc.), the associated risk profile of handling each type of data, and the appropriate risk mitigation strategies to be employed

  • Experience in a professional services field

  • Ability to evaluate risks associated with large professional service engagements

  • Experience advising engagement teams on quality and risk matters

  • Experience in RFP analysis, including contract terms and conditions

  • Experience and ability to work directly with senior level individuals (internally and externally)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle fast paced, multi-task environment

  • Ability to work autonomously
