Pursuit Manager - Deloitte Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

As a Pursuit Manager in M&A, you ll use your skills and experience to:
Develop strategies for new business pursuits and incremental opportunities, applying targeting/sales principles to identify win themes, create compelling messages, brainstorm innovative solutions to challenges and identify benefits for clients.
Transform strategic thinking into persuasive, creative deliverables that differentiate Deloitte, including pre-proposal pitches, proposals and oral presentations.
Manage the pursuit process, from orchestrating development of deliverables to coordinating our teams pursuit activities.
Write persuasively, including executive summaries and other critical components of deliverables, while interpreting information from research profiles, meetings with proposal team members, client meetings and from your understanding of the business and Deloitte s cross-functional offerings.
Contribute to developing Deloitte s pursuit team, including collaborating with other pursuit team members, continuously refining and improving pursuit strategies and acting as a project-by-project liaison between our team and the broader firm.
Assist with the development of the M&A Services (MAS) Pursuit Center activities, including:
Develop content modules and proposal templates/pursuit materials to equip a self-service M&A Pursuit (MAP) resource database and enhance quality and consistency of pursuit messaging
Promote internal education efforts for the Center within the M&A practice and support knowledge-sharing efforts for the broader practice
Engage in special projects for M&A leadership
This role will support Deloitte's M&A practice.
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related disciplines, with advanced degree preferred
6 years of relevant experience in business-to-business communications and/or strategic marketing communications directed to Fortune 500 organizations; experience in a professional services environment preferred
Excellent communicator, writer, editor, leader and strategist
Experience leading teams in strategic discussions
Experience with project management for complex, multi-dimensional projects
Ability to work in a demanding and accelerated deadline-driven environment
Outstanding ability to work with people at all levels, including senior executives; must be a strong team player
Experience in public speaking and presentation training/coaching and/or delivery
Excellent relevant writing samples
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
Travel of approximately 20%, or as dictated by pursuit demand
- Proposal writing experience in a Big Four or professional services environment a plus
