Deloitte Internal Audit – Agile – Senior Consultant in Chicago, Illinois

Deloitte s Internal Audit practice is looking for Internal Auditors at the Senior level to become Agile coaches to help us transform our clients ways of working by coaching them in Agile Internal Audit. We will also ask those coaches to assist us as we transform the way we deliver internal audit services by providing this same coaching to our Deloitte risk professionals.

Our approach is feedback driven, co-creative and customized as we partner with our clients (internal and external) to design, implement, train, and coach internal audit functions in a new way of working. Each member of our professional team is a strategic thinker, with a passion for helping internal audit innovate the way they work. Success is discovered through asking our clients the tough questions, challenging them towards making real, sustainable change and helping them achieve the change, by working with them, side-by-side.

If you join our team, you will

  • Go through an Agile IA Boot camp to become familiar with applying Agile and Scrum to Internal Audit

  • Receive training on coaching IA functions to become Agile

  • Work with clients in our unique Greenhouse visioning lab, a unique creative space where you will facilitate them through the process of creating the one-size-fits-one Agile IA approach

  • Train our clients in Scrum, Kanban and Lean approaches, specifically delivering our Agile IA Boot Camp and IA Coaching Dojos

  • Work with large, medium, and small organizations through their Agile IA transformations in several capacities:

  • Work as a scrum master for Internal Audit teams adopting Agile

  • Participate in coaching internal audit functions as they pilot then transform their newly defined Agile IA processes

  • Influence and impassion clients to embrace agile as a means of transforming not only what they do but how they do it

  • Help define and develop project deliverables

  • Innovate on our current thinking and develop new approaches to change how organizations and teams deliver Agile IA

  • Excite and motivate fellow practitioners and set them up for success in completing their scope of work

  • Support sales pursuits and business development within the Advisory Internal Audit practice

  • Contribute to knowledge management within our Agile IA practice

  • Ability to influence and persuade clients to see things from a different point of view

  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to apply structured thinking in solving problems

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

The team

As part of Deloitte s Risk & Financial Advisory Internal Audit practice, our team focuses solely on transforming traditional Internal Audit functions into Agile Internal Audit functions. We are pioneers in this space, publishing seminal documents and speaking regularly at IA industry conferences on the topic of Agile IA. Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems or related field)

  • 3 years of work experience in Internal Audit

  • Demonstrated application of at least one of the following: Agile, facilitation skills, business process analysis and improvement, change management, and/or innovation

  • Previous experience working within a professional services firm

  • Travel up to 100% expected

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • Experience with working in an ambiguous environment

  • Prior experience with or exposure to Agile

  • Certification as Certified Scrum Master, CPA, CIA, and/or CISA
