Deloitte GPS AAS Proposal Staffing Specialist in Chicago, Illinois

The Deloitte Government and Public Services (GPS) Sales Excellence team seeks an experienced Staffing/Basis of Estimate (BOE) specialist with deep experience developing staffing strategy, building/maintaining a project Staffing database, aligning staff to LCAT and functional roles, and defining the level of effort (LOE) rationale. The lead should have a proven track record of success on $100M+ bids.

Work You'll Do

This position works directly with the proposal staffing manager, capture executive, deal architect, and technical volume lead to develop a staffing strategy to meet technical solution. In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with account leadership and the Pricing Team to support the development of a staffing model and plan

  • Interpret requirements and evaluation criteria to determine the proper staffing approach

  • Work with named personnel to validate staffing approach, and data details (e.g., levels, clearances, locations, and specific skills)

  • Consistently apply the staffing approach across all volumes, including pricing, while ensuring differentiated strengths are incorporated and emphasized

  • Assist in the ongoing refinement of processes, tools, and templates for staffing and basis of estimate calculations

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • 4+ years work experience

  • Combined experience with any of the following: strategic staffing, proposal development, solutions development, and/or costing and pricing.

  • Experience developing proposal content that contribute to major Federal contract

  • Expertise in Microsoft excel, building models and manipulating data.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred concentration in Business, English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications or equivalent work experience.

Preferred:

  • Direct experience supporting complex Assisted Acquisition Service (e.g., FEDSIM, GSA Regional/APEX, etc.) captures and proposal submissions or leading self-scoring responses.

  • Business operations/management experience delivering technical or management consulting services or developing solutions for Federal clients.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,300 to $155,400.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
