Job Title: SAP CoInnovation Event Participant

Program Date / Location: August 3th-5th, 2018 at Deloitte University (DU ) in Westlake, Texas

Are you interested in participating in a Day in the Life of a Consultant while competing against top universities from across the country for prizes? If so, please consider applying to represent your school in the 4th Annual SAP Co-Innovation event, Hosted by Deloitte & SAP Americas!

What You Stand to Gain by Participating

Deloitte will invite 4 students from each of 16 selected SAP University Alliance schools to participate in a case competition at our state of the art training facility, Deloitte University, cost-free! Invited students will participate in team-based exercises leveraging an actual SAP environment, gaining valuable first-hand experience while working on real-world business challenges. You ll meet a diverse group of talented students, add SAP and Deloitte practitioners to your professional network, and experience a range of professional coaching to help prepare you for a career in SAP consulting.

Using out-of-the-box thinking and leveraging the SAP platform to build an innovative go-to-market solution, students will address a business problem and then present their solution to a leadership panel. Notable performances by eligible students may earn on-site interviews in advance of the competitive on-campus process later in the fall. Additionally, members of the first place team will receive a $500 gift card, second place team members will each receive a $250 gift card, and third place team members will each win a $100 gift card. Round One of the Competition

Teams (as defined in the Official Rules) will begin working through the case, on site, starting on Friday, August 3rd, 2018 at 8 PM CST. Each Team will be required to submit their Round One deliverables at 2:00 PM CST on Saturday, August 4th, 2018.

Teams will present their Round One deliverables to the Judges on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 beginning at 3:00 PM CST. Each Team will have 20 minutes to present their deliverables to the judges, followed by a 10 minute Q&A session. Presentations and responses to inquiries will be scored from 0 to 5 points, based on the following criteria, with 5 points being the highest:

1.Economics financial potential/attractiveness of idea/solution

2.Solution Competitiveness strength/robustness and uniqueness of the idea/solution

3.Feasibility degree to which the idea/solution is viable in the marketplace

4.Innovation Quotient degree to which the idea/solution is innovative, disruptive, or creates new markets

5.Prototype Development functionality incorporated in working prototype of the solution

6.Ease of Implementation potential for solution to be implemented at an existing/new customer of the Sponsor within the next 6-12 months

Round Two of the Competition

The 4 Teams scoring the highest after Round One will proceed to Round Two presentations. These Teams will be given a case twist on Sunday, August 5th, 2018 at 8:00 AM CST and will have until Sunday, August 5th, 2018 at 10:30 AM CST to incorporate this case twist into their deliverables.

The Final 4 Teams will each present their deliverables to the Judges starting at 12:00 PM CST on Sunday, August 5th, 2018 at 9:30 AM CST. Each will have 20 minutes to present to the Judges followed by a 10 minute Q&A session.

As in Round One, each of the Final 4 Teams will be scored by the Judges based on the following criteria, earning 0 to 5 points, with 5 points being the highest:

1.Economics financial potential/attractiveness of idea/solution

3.Feasibility degree to which the idea/solution is viable in the marketplace

4.Innovation Quotient degree to which the idea/solution is innovative, disruptive, or creates new markets

6.Ease of Implementation potential for solution to be implemented at an existing/new customer of the Sponsor within the next 6-12 months

The Team with the highest points will be eligible for the first place prize. In the event of a tie, the Sponsor will determine the winner based on the Team solution that best meets the Competition Objective listed in the Official Rules. The judging panel consists of Deloitte and SAP senior leaders.

Qualifications

Evaluation Criteria includes:

GPA: 3.4 and above

Graduation Date: December 2018 or May/June 2019

Undergraduate major or coursework in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or Supply Chain

Basic understanding of SAP in academic and/or work environments

Knowledge of one of the following functional areas in SAP: Finance, Customer (Sales & Marketing), Risk or Supply Chain

Demonstration of strong communication and writing skills

Understanding of system development life cycles (SDLC) and various project phases (business requirements gathering, documentation of business processes, testing, and deployment)

Strong analytical skills in applying KPIs to manage business performance

Basic configuration skills or building of transactional data in SAP ERP system

Exposure to HANA, Suite of HANA, SAP Cloud Services, Ariba, OpenText, and Core SAP Modules (FI, CO, MM, PS, SD, etc.)

Understanding of how SAP technologies support business functions

Exposure to technology programming, business analytics, and/or business processes

Enrollment in a full time program at 1 of the 16 participating SAP Alliance Universities during the Event period

Legal resident status (legal residents include US citizens, students with visas, etc)

Age 18 or older

How to Apply

All students wishing to be considered should upload the below items to the posting on their respective school job board or email demcandrews@deloitte.com and mcahue@deloitte.com by 11:59 PM CST on Friday, April 6th, 2018.

1.100 word response explaining what you hope to gain from participating in the Event and what skills you can offer as a Team member

2.Current resume with GPA, graduation date, and valid .edu email address from your university

3.Unofficial transcript

Deloitte will narrow down the applications to 4 students per participating SAP Alliance University using the criteria listed above between Monday, April 9th, 2018 and Monday, April 13th, 2018. All Team Members (as defined in the Official Rules) within each Team must attend the same university. Selection status will be communicated via email, and selected students will have until 11:59 PM CST on Friday, April 27th, 2018 to accept the invite in writing. Subsequent information will then be shared with confirmed participants throughout the summer leading up to the Event (as defined in the Official Rules).

Notified participants must then complete the registration form to be shared over the summer to signify agreement to the Official Rules. Students will be required to apply with a valid .edu email address from their university. All participants must apply by Friday, April 6th, 2018 be eligible for prizes.

Should a Team Member need to be replaced because they are unable to attend the Event, a student from the same university will be selected by the Sponsor based on the above qualifications, to take their place. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a Team may be disqualified at the Sponsor s sole discretion if all Team Members of such Team are not present at DU for the entirety of the Event.

Expectations of Professionalism

Teams are not permitted to leverage the aid of any external persons (e.g., Advisors, Peers) while they work on the business scenario at the Event including assistance with general strategies for the business scenario, presentation skills feedback, formulating a plan to analyze data, suggestions around organization, presentation format, style of presentation, etc. Teams are expected to follow the Code of Conduct / Honor Code. Professional behavior is expected. Each Team is required to maintain the highest standards of integrity throughout the Competition. Any violation of the Official Rules or breaches of integrity will subject a Team to immediate disqualification. Teams are allowed to leverage any open source materials but will need to disclose the resources used. No purchase necessary to enter or win.
