Work You ll Do
Interface with internal audit, business, IT, and members of executive management to design and implement solutions. Help to identify and evaluate complex business process and technology risks. Assess and evaluate internal controls. Participate in risk assessments, determine audit plans, execute audit programs, assess issues, and work with management to determine remediation plans and track progress. Understand clients business environment and basic risk management approaches. Demonstrate knowledge of market trends and competitor activities, products, and service lines within the Financial Services Industry. Assist in preparing project plans and weekly status reports. Coach and mentor junior team members. Query and mine large data sets to discover transaction patterns, examine financial data and filter for targeted information using traditional as well as predictive/advanced analytic methodologies. Develop meaningful insights to address regulatory and business challenges, including helping clients address serious business concerns involving fraud, forensic investigations, litigation, and reorganization. Advise businesses on valuation issues and other matters, including Anti-Money Laundering and OFAC to help them remain compliant with regulations. Assist in preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials including reports, findings and presentations. Create, manage, and utilize high performance relational databases, including SQL Server 20012, Oracle 11.2g, Microsoft Access, and OLAP.
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Eighteen months of experience mining and analyzing electronic transaction data.
Experience must include eighteen months of:
Utilizing analytical tools, including SAS, SQL and HIVE to perform data mining and analysis;
Utilizing advanced Excel tools and PowerPoint;
Providing analytical services to financial institutions regarding Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC);
Utilizing and testing the efficiency of AML technology platforms, including Actimize and Norkom;
Performing statistical analysis techniques, including sampling and logistic regression; and
Performing data and statistical analysis on projects, including transaction monitoring, system evaluations, system implementation assessments, threshold tuning, and data quality assessments.
Position requires approximately 80% travel.
