Deloitte Incident Response Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Join our cyber team and elevate your career.Work you'll doWill lead a team of 6-7 incident handlers supporting a Level I and II incident response team. The team lead coordinates and manages the team, to include maintaining shift schedules, load balancing the team, weekly and monthly reporting to the client, performance management and quality assurance. The team performs the following tasks:

Uses data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools (e.g., IDS alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs) to analyze events that occur within their environments for the purposes of mitigating threats. Provides timely detection, identification, and alerting of possible attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities and distinguish these incidents and events from benign activities.

Responsibilities

•Identifies, develops, and implements mechanisms to detect security incidents and report on key metrics.

•Works with clients to provide security solutions that support their business requirements.

Identifies and improves security incident detection and monitoring capabilities.

•Designs, builds and supports the Incident Response Security Suite to operational excellence standards (e.g.high availability, change controls, patching, configuration management, etc.) and report on key metrics.

•Identifies gaps and recommends changes to the Incident Response Plan. Incidents triage, prioritization, investigation, response coordination and closure documentation.

•Hands on work with SIEM and logging solutions.

•Obtains and analyzes forensic images of mobile devices, MACs, Linux, Windows (VMs as well as physical).

•Ensures that incident documentation is comprehensive and accurate. Completes all relevant fields in incident tracking database and closes ticket.

•Develops and documents security event and incident handling procedures into Playbooks.

•Creates Splunk dashboards to display IR's metrics.

•Creates dashboards that help identify possible malicious trends.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years on management experience.

  • Experience maintaining shift schedules, load balancing the team, weekly and monthly reporting to the client, performance management and quality assurance.

  • Experience designing, building and supporting the Incident Response Security Suite to operational excellence standards (e.g.high availability, change controls, patching, configuration management, etc.) and reporting on key metrics.

  • Experience identifying gaps and recommending changes to the Incident Response Plan. Incidents triage, prioritization, investigation, response coordination and closure documentation.

  • 3+ years of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) experience.

  • Hands on experience working with SIEM and logging solutions.

  • Be willing to travel up to 15%
