Work You ll Do
Identify and evaluate business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement. Assess and implement compliance, regulatory and risk management programs, training, and monitoring/reporting. Assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support service offering or industry projects. Actively participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions. Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo. Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services. Play substantive/lead role in engagement planning, economics, and billing. Play substantive role in the training and development of staff. Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of others. Play substantive/lead role in retention of professionals and in building staff complement, mix, and recruiting. Identify opportunities to cross-sell other services. Demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, Deloitte & Touche products and service lines. Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. Understand clients' business environment and complex risk management approaches. Participate in proposal development efforts. Participate in "add-on" sales to client. Play substantive/lead role in developing a strong relationship with internal resources.
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Three years of risk management experience, including quantitative model development and analysis and financial modeling and valuation.
Experience must include three years of:
Developing financial models for estimation of fair market value, including cash flow modeling;
Conducting quantitative analysis on datasets used to develop models and to obtain important insights into complex business issues;
Estimating quantitative risk metrics and identifying and assessing control mechanisms in risk processes;
Conducting risk analysis to ensure compliance and assessing limitations and mitigations in quantitative models and risk processes;
Conducting quantitative model validation involving model testing, model fit analysis, residual diagnostics, back-testing, and sensitivity analysis;
Investigating economic causality, conducting time series analysis, and developing probabilistic models using logistic regressions and other statistical techniques;
Utilizing statistical tools, including Python, R, SAS, and Excel VBA; and
Producing comprehensive evidence-based reports, including research-style reports.
In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience as stated above.
Experience must include two years of:
Supervising engagement work streams with global team members, developing client deliverables, and communicating results/observations to senior-level client contacts and
Planning scope of work, monitoring and reviewing work of junior staff members, and leading cross-functional teams involving multiple vendors, business users, and technology architects.
Position requires 50% travel.
