Work you'll do
A Senior Manager in the S&A practice with a focus on Life Sciences Commercial, should possess considerable expertise in one or more commercial functions of Life Sciences (Sales, Marketing, Managed markets, Drug Launch etc.) including associated business processes, systems and extensive understanding of the syndicated commercial data sets/data providers. In addition, the candidate is expected to be in leadership roles in selling and delivering Life Sciences commercial solutions in one or more of either Data Strategy and Governance, Data Stewardship, Commercial Data Management. Commercial Data Warehouses/data lakes, Commercial data insights and/or commercial analyticsSenior Managers will have both delivery and practice development responsibilities. Time will be distributed across delivery, pre-sales, practice development based on types of project, complexity and criticality.
Other roles and responsibilities include:
Lead consulting engagements, including third party product implementation in the capacity of a delivery lead/Program lead (with PMD oversight).
Guide the team on requirements gathering, perform solution architecting, outline use cases and functional specifications for client to help them solve their most complex business and technology issues
Partner with senior client stakeholders to manage program risk and issues
Provide project leadership and direction on one or more programs and ensure quality of deliverables, timelines and budget
Build client relationship and identify/pursue up-sell opportunities
Contribute to business development through activities such as pre-sales client presentations, research, and writing proposal, RFP responses and SOWs
Leverage industry knowledge and insights to present our POV on areas that align with client needs & requirement.
Deeply understand their client's business challenges, and provide thought leadership in addressing these issues

AI & Data Engineering will work with our clients to:
Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-based platforms
Leverage automation, cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions
Drive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise and providing As-a-Service offerings for continuous insights and improvements
Bachelor's degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record
10+ years of professional experience, including 6+ years Life Sciences industry and/or 1-2+ years' operating as a Sr. Manager/Director in a consulting environment
Strong understanding of the Life Sciences commercial challenges and opportunities
Strong understanding of various types of commercial dataset used across Life Sciences commercial business functions
Strong experience in developing and implementing data solutions using cloud technologies that enable data science and AI
Strong experience in client relationship management and pre-sales support, building deep client relationships and identifying client's priority needs for service and support
The ability to manage teams of consultants and work with cross functional and client facing teams within an on/off-shore model.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience making presentations to clients, executives and technical team.
Experience in project management activities: project plans and estimates, scoping and requirements through implementation, including ensuring delivery of quality outcomes within timelines and budgets
Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Advanced degree in business (e.g., MBA) from a top tier program

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $176,000 to $326,000.
