Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Manager in Boston, MA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Advise clients in insurance industry to support business transformation by application of business, financial, actuarial and risk management concepts. Provide business and technology transformation strategies in increasing organization s competitiveness and efficiency in operations, processes and technology. Guide project teams regarding the identification, design and implementation of business and technology-enabled solutions including claims transformation and enterprise reporting. Develop business cases for organization s strategic initiatives. Direct financial analysis and modeling including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow using accounting concepts for business cases. Drive business by developing intellectual capital, proposals and identifying opportunities to support sales and business development. Assess business needs, competitive landscape, industry trends and organization s current state to develop long-term and short-term technology strategy and roadmaps. Mentor junior staff and assist them in their professional development. Direct the development of global operating models, standard processes and protocols for IT, product, claims and distribution functions by reviewing cost and performance metrics and incorporating industry best practices. Manage project teams in designing to-be processes, underwriting organizational structure, reporting infrastructure, change management and communication strategies to advise life insurers in implementing predictive model solutions. Provide guidance in transforming insurance operations and developing implementation roadmaps by reviewing current state assessment, improvement areas, industry best practices, future state processes and gap analysis. Oversee performance of current state assessments of the data and analytics capability for large global insurers, conduction of capability gap analysis, and development of roadmaps to implement future state data and analytic organization. Forecast monthly and quarterly financials utilizing accounting and financial planning and analysis concepts including income statement analysis, cash flow analysis, GAAP and statutory accounting principles. Manage the development of go-to-market strategies and growth plans for insurance products in new and existing markets by analyzing distribution agency plants, assessing competitive dynamics, enhancing product features and aligning with the organization goals. Lead in designing and implementing operating models using key account management framework to solve complex business problems, including end-to-end relationship management issues. Responsible for building predictive models to estimate profitability for projected financial statements using insurance GAAP and statutory accounting principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Management or a related field.

  • Six years of progressively responsible experience providing actuarial consulting services on behalf of a global company.

  • Must have six years of experience with:

  • Developing global operating models, developing standard processes and protocols for IT, product, claims and distribution functions by analyzing cost and performance metrics and incorporating industry best practices;

  • Designing to-be processes, underwriting organizational structure, reporting infrastructure, change management and communication strategies to advise life insurers in implementing predictive model solutions;

  • Transforming insurance operations and developing implementation roadmaps by conducting current state assessment, identifying improvement areas, analyzing industry best practices, designing future state processes, and conducting gap analysis;

  • Performing current state assessments of the data and analytics capability for large global insurers, conducting capability gap analysis, and developing roadmaps to implement future state data and analytic organization;
