Your role

Senior managers will contribute to Deloitte's thought leadership, play a significant role in business development activities, and own responsibility for the development of junior staff. You will lead and deliver large engagements, or components of large, complex engagements for healthcare clients. Typical engagements include process improvement, operating model design, competitor benchmarking, cost transformation, customer and product innovation, and growth strategy development. Using a combination of direct management and hands-on delivery, you will craft solutions for clients, guide and oversee the quality of your team's deliverables and recommendations, and manage day-to-day stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record. MBA and/or Advanced degree is preferred

  • Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in Healthcare Provider industry, or a mix of a few years' industry experience and functioning as a Senior Manager or higher in a Consulting environment with business development and sales responsibilities.

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations in a health care, consulting, or technology environment

  • Experience selling consulting engagements and leading projects with multiple work streams, multiple functions and multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to project executive presence and professionalism sufficient to interact with C-level executives and senior partners

  • Track record of establishing and developing long-term client relationships

  • Experience leading or managing teams and change initiatives (especially in a project management role)

  • Experience with budgetary responsibilities related to projects or resources

  • Demonstrates consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility

  • Performed above expectations in previous professional roles

  • Competent in Microsoft suite of Business Software, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

    In addition, successful Senior Managers will also have the following preferred skills

  • Experience in one or more the following revenue cycle functions: Patient Access, Coding, Revenue Integrity, HIM, Charge Integrity, Patient Financial Services

  • Proficiency and experience with financial, billing and reimbursement data

  • Proficiency and experience with analytics, digital and robotics/process automation to improve revenue cycle outcomes while reducing costs

  • Experience with hospital and physician financial and patient accounting systems, such as EPIC, Cerner, Soarian, SMS, McKesson, Invision, HBOC, MEDITECH, IDX, and Eclipsys

  • Experience with tools that enable gathering insights through advanced analytics (Python, Tableau, etc.) and querying language (SQL)

  • Basic understanding of automation and machine learning techniques as it applies to healthcare

  • Excellent undergraduate academic record (GPA 3.5+)

  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal, team-building and communication skills

  • Sense of responsibility to self, team and client

  • Outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion

  • Experience leading or managing teams and change initiative
