Pursuit Marketing Manager -Government & Public Services (GPS) (L5)

Location is flexible - Preference for Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, DC

The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing professional who possesses a strategic mindset with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with sales executives, pursuit executives, account executives, and other individuals at all levels of a matrixed organization to execute integrated marketing campaigns that help position Deloitte to grow and win business in the highly competitive government and public services marketplace.

Work you'll do:

The Government and Public Services (GPS) Marketing Manager will establish the methodology and strategy for howMarketing supports large government pursuits (>$400M),targeting key government and public services buyer personas. This role will collaborate closely with the GPS leaders and Pursuit Center of Excellence to develop pursuit strategyand increase client understanding of Deloitte's capabilities and eminence through hyper-customized messaging to government and public services buyers and influencers to increase win rate andgrow revenue.


  • Drive demand generation during the pursuit and business development process for GPS's largest, most strategic pursuits. Capitalize on the long procurement cycle to identify, score and nurture leads, develop client-customized content for key buyers, and lead demand-gen campaigns.

  • Work with pursuit teams to develop and articulate value proposition and pursuit strategy

  • Execute digital and social media marketing campaigns and activities to nurture and accelerate opportunities from interest to closed deals

  • Research and identify ways to personalize and customize campaigns

  • Develop and institutionalize Marketing support for GPS's largest, most strategic pursuits. Determine engagement during pursuit lifecycle (18+ months top priority deals to final client buying decision)

  • Measure impact of m arketing on large, strategic deals. Gather ROI data and inputs data into standard reports, focusing on data accuracy, storytelling, outcomes, etc.


  • 3+ years working with government and public services clients

  • Experience developing strategies for reaching a diverse audience of leadership personas in the government and public services space

  • Ability to effectively communicate and work across a broad array of stakeholders (e.g. account leaders, proposal leaders, proposal authors, and Business Development personnel )

  • Experience with digital marketing concepts spanning advertising, SEO, website development and design concepts , digitalmarketing techniques, including audience segmentation, and persona-based campaigns

  • Demonstrated c reation and implementation of comprehensive social media plans for organic and paid social campaigns

  • Strong executive presence, professional client service manner, and demonstrated ability to take initiative, confident

  • Creative mindset with passion and drive to foster innovation in marketing and communications. Able to manage creative teams and give strategic direction to advance brand position in the market

  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills: able to gain consensus through influence and is comfortable with ambiguity across multiple senior stakeholders

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills and able to manage and execute multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously

  • Strong team player with the ability to work in a matrixed organization with a hybrid/virtual team

  • Able to manage client expectations across multiple projects and collaborate across multiple teams simultaneously

  • Proficiency in MS Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Team and SharePoint
