Risk and Financial Advisory Overview:

Our Risk and Financial Advisory group is comprised of more than 10,000 partners, managers and staff. We help solve our clients most complex financial instrument and physical market challenges by delivering risk advisory, technical accounting, quantitative, technology and operational advisory services. Specifically, our consulting projects include risk assessment and solution implementation for business strategies and policies, business processes, organization structure, risk modeling, management reporting and treasury, trading and risk systems. We help clients obtain, analyze and report information from multiple sources and across risk classes to facilitate tactical and strategic decision making.

Work You ll Do

The Program Manager (PGM) will lead a cross-functional team to define next generation, client-facing technology products across our service lines and industries. The PGM will interface with Product Managers, Business Analysts, UX Designers, Solution Architects, Engineering, Software Application Testing, and Operations teams and provide project management leadership for ideation, conceptualization & development efforts.

The PGM will have the following responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders and Product Managers to understand customer and business needs and priorities.

  • Communicate the program vision and project goals to the development teams.

  • Manage Agile Scrum development teams when required

  • Work with the Product Managers/Owners and development teams to produce product and release roadmaps.

  • Track and manage project dependencies across teams.

  • Manage program communication - proactively identify and communicate program progress.

  • Ensure issues are identified and resolved.

  • Facilitate, coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to complete multiple complex technical program and/or project plans, tasks and milestones.

  • Prepare status reports and conduct trending analysis/root cause analysis. Analyze processes and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Drive initiatives in support of the approved recommendations.

  • Influence and manage continuous improvement of product/solution development lifecycle process, practices and initiatives.


  • Regularly collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, UX Designers, Solution Architects, Engineering, Software Application Testing, and Operations teams and provide project management leadership to develop innovative, extensible, scalable, robust, reliable and market-facing tech products

Internal Project Reporting and Administration

  • Lead periodic cross-functional team meetings and be prepared to discuss project status, cross functional team satisfaction, and project key performance indicators for scope, schedule, quality, resource, and costs during regularly scheduled and ad hoc project review meetings with the Business Unit Leadership

  • Track and report key project metrics on a regular basis.

  • Keep an accurate risk tracking document with an associated mitigation plan.

Resource Management

  • Determine project roles of team members based on project requirements, timeframes and budget

  • When necessary work with external contractors to augment internal resources

  • Define skill sets (competencies) required for the project based on project specifications and requirements.

  • Determine resource requirements (including staffing, software, hardware, and facilities) of projects, based on project specifications

Customer and Internal Stakeholder Management

  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase user satisfaction and deepen cross- functional team relationships

  • Builds a knowledge base of customers and internal stakeholders business, organization and objectives

  • Manages day-to-day cross-functional team interaction.

  • Sets and manages team expectations

  • Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions

Project Accounting and Finance

  • Understands product revenue models, P&L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly

  • Understands our pricing model and billing procedures

  • Assures project legal and regulatory documents are completed and signed including ensuring compliance with SOC, ISO, SSAE 16 standards where applicable

  • Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis

  • Manages project budget and able to produce near real time reports on project costing

  • Manages project and financial relationship with any contractors used on the project

Project Planning

  • Explain implications of changes to project scope and/or objectives to the cross functional team

  • Lead the team to prioritize signed off project work based on analysis of strategic importance, tasks outstanding, obstacles or barriers, budgets, resources and deadlines

  • Create or participate in the creation of project documentation

  • Manage the client stakeholders, team members, or contract personnel to design a solution and establish associated project timelines and budgets that allow for the delivery of the most strategic functionality within the project constraints

  • Establish and maintain a usable and well-communicated schedule for all phases of a project including working in an Agile Software Development Methodology environment

  • Work with cross functional team to ensure project changes are understood and approved

Project Control

  • Produce and maintain an integrated master schedule for the project

  • Manage project change management through project change orders, phased delivery or other methods to ensure projects deliver on timeline, scope, budget and strategy expectations

  • Evaluate all key project deliverables, as well as final applications to ensure traceability of requirements, high quality and user acceptance

  • Responsible for formal sign off on all project deliverables; this will often include coordinating input and involvement from the Business Unit Leadership and cross-functional team.

  • Ensure project meets company expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery timelines, and strategy

  • Escalate these issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget, and timeline

  • Where project control is in jeopardy, create contingency plans with appropriate input from key team members and implement a revised project schedule, scope or budget in a timely manner

Project communication

  • Comfortable with public speaking and with senior executives

  • Work with product owner to ensure they achieve an understanding of expectations, deliverables, dependencies, risks, progress and the development process

  • If needed, create customized reporting for the product owners

  • Use sound judgment in all project communication and ensure that internal stakeholders understand key message

  • Team, client and management are appraised of project activities in a timely manner.

  • Communicate progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones and other key project metrics to Business Unit Leadership and cross functional team

  • Ensure all appropriate project document is archived and available to cross functional team members


  • Bachelor s Degree in a technical major and/or relevant experience required

  • Project Management training is mandatory with PMI certification being a strong plus

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in project management, including software product development

  • Experience in leading on-site and globally disbursed multiple project teams concurrently

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and its interactions with project management discipline

  • Experience in closely working with Product Managers/Owners and technical team members including Architects & Engineers

  • Experience in communicating technical and non-technical topics with a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally

  • Well versed in the PMI s Project Management Body of Knowledge

  • Well versed in managing software development projects using Stage-Gate and Agile methodologies including Agile Scrum and Agile Kanban

  • Agile Scrum Master certification from a prominent organization is preferred

  • Ability to define and implement project metrics for scope, schedule, cost and quality

  • Ability to use various project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Share Point and capacity models

  • Strong MS PowerPoint visual design and storyboarding skills and advanced MS Excel skills required

  • Ability to influence others and mentor junior members and ability to work with and guide the IT Operations team

  • Working knowledge of IT networks and applications (experience in Cloud-based development projects preferred)

  • Must have strong organizational skills, critical reasoning and decision-making skills

  • Ability to operate independently and thrive within a fast-paced work environment

  • Must be able to travel up to 25%
