Work you'll do

Drive delivery of next generation Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program Management Office(s) for utility clients. The PMO team member is responsible for all project management aspects of the next generation AMI Programs, and is responsible for driving all project management processes across projects within the program. Acts as liaison between Deloitte, the client, and all other vendors for project management aspects of the project.Role Description:

  • Responsible for leading PMO workstreams for large-scale, complex next generation AMI business transformation PMOs including scope, schedule, budget, controls, document management, and reporting in alignment with PMO methods and tools.

  • Responsible for driving quality including templates/branding, and ensure the deliverables meet the intention and requirements within the statement of work.

  • Leverage core PMO and program/project management processes including methodology and standards/tools in alignment with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOKĀ®)

  • Supports driving stakeholder management and program governance for decision-making and clear roles/responsibilities.

  • Liaise with the client and third party vendors, influencing on time and on budget delivery.

  • Provide vendor management of third parties including monitor & control processes and reporting.

  • Develop and customize coordination processes and tools to meet client-specific needs.

  • Support onboarding and offboarding, and other administrative program functions.

Operations Transformation

We advise, design, implement, and deploy solutions focused on "heart of the business" issues in specific sectors including Health Care, Banking & Securities, Insurance, and Energy & Resources. The type of work we provide to our clients includes Operations Excellence, Payment & Care Model Innovation and Emerging Business Models.

Professionals will use their deep sector knowledge and technical business operations consulting experience to take a more strategic view of our clients' priorities, helping them to prepare for growth, embrace the digital agenda and maximize operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience within the Utilities sector (business, regulatory)

  • Utility capabilities knowledge

  • Advance Meter Infrastructure functional knowledge (meters, network, customer programs)

  • GridEdge (Edge Computing) knowledge

  • Distributed Energy Resources (DER) knowledge

  • Program Management office set-up, execution, and transition

  • Core PM processes and PMBOK pathways

  • PM and Collaboration Tools set-up and management (MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Teams, Sharepoint)

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Preferred:

  • Strong communications skills including business writing and verbal/presentation skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Experience with program and project management including project management roles, processes, and tools

  • PM tool automation

  • Experience with quantitative analysis of operating metrics

  • Strong storyboarding skills

  • Professional Presence

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $119,000 to $194,000.
