Work You ll Do
Perform assessments of existing software systems, identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, evaluate potential solutions, and make recommendations. Reviewing functional specifications, process design documents (including scenario design and flow mapping), use cases, test cases, requirement traceability matrix and monitoring different types of testing. Track and manage application defects using defect tracking tools, prioritize and assign defects to appropriate resources, coordinate defect resolution efforts, and document the resolution details. Helping the clients policy and planning teams to comply with federal regulations for particular projects. Tracking industry-specific Key Performance Indexes (KPIs) for clients per contract obligations. Architect custom software solutions that help clients solve issues, expand market share, improve operations, and expand. Building and maintaining client relationships by ensuring deliverables meet and exceed client expectations, and advising clients on approach, scope and cost of add-on projects. Lead client executive meetings and demonstrate strong industry and system knowledge to client stakeholders. Oversee a project team to implement custom developed software applications through all phases of the software development life-cycle (SDLC) including Planning, System Analysis, Requirement Definition, System Design, Implementation, Testing, and Deployment. Managing day-to-day operations of projects including planning and tracking multiple releases across different teams, creating and maintaining updates, and adjusting timelines, goals and milestones while adhering to clients customized version of software development methodology.
Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), CIS, MIS or a related field.
Five years of progressively responsible experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation.
Must have five years of experience with:
Designing, developing, and deploying large-scale custom applications build on J2EE/Oracle platforms;
Developing/delivering functionalities for integration and user acceptance testing, and tracking the quality key performance indicators (KPI) using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools;
Designing visual modeling and components of large-scale enterprise software applications using MS Visio, and capturing the requirements traceability to design and develop processes utilizing JAMA Contour;
Conducting Joint Application Design discussions with multiple client stakeholders across agencies using UML diagrams, MS Visio flow charts;
Developing and implementing Java and J2EE software applications utilizing Struts, Hibernate, ESB, WebLogic, CSS HTML, XML, and Oracle;
Facilitating, monitoring, and reporting all development activities and supporting activities for Project Management Office (PMO), including issue tracking and management of requirements and defects using JAMA, JIRA, MS Project, and Project Management Center (PMC).
80% travel required.
