Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consultant in Boston, MA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Function as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions. Create custom software solutions that help clients solve issues, expand market share, improve operations, and expand. Work with a project team to implement custom developed software applications through all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including Planning, System Analysis, Requirement Definition, System Design, Implementation, Testing, and Deployment. Perform assessments of existing software systems, identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, evaluate potential solutions, and make recommendations. Lead client-facing training and demonstrate system flows for various client stakeholders. Perform source code review to validate whether the code correctly implements the system design and meets the project defined coding standards. Prepare and review material to conduct end-user training sessions. Translate business requirements into functional and technical system requirements, create and review use cases and process flow diagrams, and conduct Joint Application Requirement (JAR) sessions with project workgroups to finalize system requirements. Translate system requirements into functional design, create and review Screen Mockups and User Interface (UI) Storyboards, and conduct Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with project workgroups to finalize system design. Develop technical and functional specifications, including UI Specifications, UI Flows, Logic Diagrams, Data Models, UML Process Models, and pseudocode. Create test cases and perform functional testing, non-functional testing, integration testing, black-box testing, white-box testing, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Track and manage system defects using defect-tracking tools JIRA and AMPM, prioritize and assign defects to appropriate resources, lead defect resolution efforts, document defect resolution details, and coordinate software builds to migrate source code to higher environments. Research user-reported issues with various web-based applications, identify the root cause and resolution, lead the implementation of corrective efforts, and serve as a liaison between the business functions, end users, and the technical delivery team. Deliver functional and technical training sessions to new hires and junior staff members. Assist in content creation for sales pursuits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, CIS, MIS, or a related field.

  • One year of experience in the position above, as a Business Technology Analyst, or a position in a related occupation.

  • Must have one year of experience with:

  • Translating business requirements into functional and technical system requirements, creating and reviewing use cases and process flow diagrams, and conducting Joint Application Requirement (JAR) sessions with project workgroups to finalize system requirements;

  • Transforming system requirements into functional design, creating and reviewing Screen Mockups and User Interface (UI) Storyboards, and conducting Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with project workgroups to finalize system design;

  • Developing technical and functional specifications, including UI Specifications, UI Flows, Logic Diagrams, Data Models, UML Process Models, and pseudocode;

  • Creating test cases and performing functional testing, non-functional testing, integration testing, black-box testing, white-box testing, and end-to-end testing of software applications;
