Deloitte Discovery Lead in Austin, Texas

Work you'll do

  • Lead the discovery phase of the application modernization project.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of business and technical requirements to ensure comprehensive understanding and documentation.

  • Develop and define technical specifications that align with business needs and project goals.

  • Create and manage Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) diagrams to illustrate current and future state processes.

  • Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Utilize Appian to design and implement solutions that meet the defined requirements and technical specifications.

  • Provide expert guidance and support to the development team during the implementation phase.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines.

The Application Modernization and Innovation offering is comprised of experienced professionals who help guide clients through their most complex technology challenges. This can include the delivery of large-scale software applications & integrated systems, the development of service-oriented architecture (SOA) & other integrations solutions, and the delivery of technology enablement to support CIO services transformation. Our Application Modernization and Innovation offering focuses on key client issues that impact the core business. We provide operational value, modernized mission solutions, and enhanced technology innovation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.

  • Ability to travel 10-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clientsandindustries/sectorsyou serve.

  • 6 + Years of experience in discovery, technical writing, and Business process modeling and notation.

  • 4 + Years of experience in software development.

Preferred:

  • 8 + Years of experience in discovery, technical writing, and Business process modeling and notation preferred.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PMC, CSPO, and ACPMPO preferred.

  • Previous low code experience with platforms such as Appian, Pega, Salesforce, etc.

  • 2+ years of experience guiding customers through the product development, and SDLC.
