Business Development Support Specialist - USDC - Bersin

We are seeking someone who is ready to grow his or her professional career and who is interested in a sales related role. The Business Development Support Specialist (BDSS) is a strategic thinker that supports the front-line of lead generation for Bersin membership. The BDSS collaborates with his/her Account Executives (AE) to identify and qualify new business opportunities within the Small to Mid-Size Business (SMB) marketplace. This person supports market analysis across key industries including, Financial Services, Energy & Resources, Government, Consumer, Technology & Life Sciences (Healthcare) in the U.S. and global. The focus of the BDSS is to partner with their AE s to support/secure new opportunities in the sales pipeline.

Based out of our US Delivery Centers in Orlando Florida, Gilbert Arizona or MechanicsburgPennsylvania, you will work with the Deloitte Consulting organization to design, develop and build solutions to help clients reimagine, reshape and rewire the competitive fabric of entire industries. If not local to one of these locations, we can help by providing relocation assistance depending on how far you are moving.

Work You'll Do:

  • Responsible for developing (along with AE) tiered target list(s) for each industry, and an action plan to gain first-level meetings with target prospects/leads.

  • Manage all in-bound lead inquires, including but not limited to Marketing Campaigns, Website/Email/Phone Inquiries, Conference/Events and other channels

  • Willingness to conduct outbound/cold-calling initiatives (including phone and email outreach)

  • Proactive outbound prospecting to key targets with a focus to create interest in Bersin while generating a consistent pipeline of qualified leads to support revenue goals.

  • Effectively communicate Bersin s value proposition to prospects, with a focus to convert them into warm leads for your AE.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, both in Bersin and Deloitte HC to build an appropriate profile for each prospect/lead (to include key contacts/decision makers, company updates, specific needs, timeline, budgets etc.)

  • Partner with Marketing to support outbound communications that include campaigns, a strong social media presence, strategic prospect outreach, event/conference support etc.

  • Support sales pipeline through active engagement in each stage until AE closes opportunity

  • Support new sales opportunities for Bersin s annual IMPACT conference, and other event/tradeshows throughout the year.

  • Track all your updates and activity through Salesforce and other applications to support AE and Leadership reporting.

  • Possess an entrepreneurial/hunter spirit that encompasses creativity, innovation and professionalism on a winning sales team.

  • A desire to grow your career in consultative sales.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in sales support, marketing or customer service

  • Willingness to conduct outbound/cold-calling initiatives (including phone and email outreach)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience in using Salesforce.com

  • Experience using Social Media/Online Tools (LinkedIn, InsideView, Hoovers etc.)

  • Experience working in high-pace environment

  • Interest to research and present data in mid-market area (50-5,000 employees)

  • Understand balance between strategic and tactical support of sales cycle

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Focus on detail and follow-up, organization and planning skills a must

  • Willingness to take on an entrepreneurial/hunter role and work with cross-functional teams

  • Interest in Human Resources (HR), Human Capital, Talent Acquisition, Software (SaaS)

  • You must be local to or willing to relocate to Orlando, FL - Gilbert, AZ (Phoenix Metro) - Mechanicsburg, PA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Marketing/Campaign initiatives

  • Bachelor s degree
