Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Specialist in Atlanta, GA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Assist in providing IT consulting services to clients for application software application based on legacy Mainframe technology. Adapt software to new hardware and upgrade interfaces to improve application performance. Work with Senior Consultants, Managers, and System architects to design, develop and upgrade software systems. Participate in various client meetings with business users and functional teams to understand clients business requirements and to provide technical solutions. As part of a team, perform accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues. Develop functional and system requirements based on clients business needs. Prepare technical design from functional and business requirements for various health insurance claims projects. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of new systems or modifications of existing systems. Prepare various metrics for weekly project status reporting and system performance reporting to client and management teams. Work with Scrum Teams to define Acceptance Criteria and review User Stories. Analyze existing legacy system business functions and create business rules for As-Is Systems. Design To-Be systems, review use cases, and prepare detailed Technical Design Documents, Test Data and Test cases for Unit Testing and System Testing. Create data migration mapping documents and data migration plans for migrating legacy databases and files including VSAM and General Data Group flat and tape files to Database2 tables using Extract-Transform-Load tools and framework. Design and code various COBOL, CICS, IMS Database and Database2/ VSAM programs in legacy Mainframe environments and support Message Queue, File Transfer Protocol and NDM. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, development, and support teams to complete system integration testing. Identify and prepare test cases for Unit Testing and System Testing. Develop Job Control Language jobs and REXX tools to run software applications in mainframe systems. Coordinate with offshore team members for requirement clarifications, bug fixes, and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), IT, MIS, CIS or a related field.

  • Two year of experience as a Project Delivery Specialist, as a Business Analyst, as a Systems Analyst, or in a related occupation.

  • Must have two years of experience with:

  • Working with Scrum Teams to define Acceptance Criteria and review User Stories;

  • Analyzing existing legacy system business functions and creating business rules for As-Is Systems;

  • Designing To-Be systems, reviewing use cases, and preparing detailed Technical Design Documents, Test Data and Test cases for Unit Testing and System Testing;

  • Creating data migration mapping documents and data migration plans for migrating legacy databases and VSAM and GDG flat and tape files to DB2 tables using ETL tools and framework;

  • Designing and coding various COBOL, CICS, IMS DB and DB2/VSAM programs in legacy Mainframe environments and supporting legacy communication systems;

  • Collaborating with QA, development, and support teams to complete system integration testing;

  • Identifying and preparing test cases for Unit Testing and System Testing;

  • Developing JCL jobs and REXX tools to run software applications in mainframe systems;

  • Coordinating with offshore team members for requirement clarifications, bug fixes, and issue resolution.

  • 80% travel required.

  • Telecommuting permitted.
