Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Specialist, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Atlanta, Georgia and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You’ll Do
Design, implement, and operate solutions for custom-developed systems, platform integration, and application modernization to enable core business capabilities. Assess and diagnose problems by analyzing the interactions between key drivers. Develop solutions to problems through application of standard methods and tools. Understand key components and track progress against work plan and identify potential issues while staying focused on identified priorities. Define clear business objectives and desired outcomes. Perform assessments of existing information systems, and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Function as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet business needs. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, process design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Create test cases and perform functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Create project charters, schedules, and plans, define project tasks, allocate resources, and monitor project progress. Research user reported issues, identify root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Create technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Write functional and technical system requirements and use cases, create process flow diagrams and finalize system requirements. Perform conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques. Track application defects using defect tracking tools, coordinate defect resolution efforts, and document resolution details.
80% travel required nationally.
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), CIS, MIS, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:
Developing and designing COBOL and IMS programs to facilitate migration of legacy healthcare systems to modern cost effective and customer centric platforms;
Designing and implementing strategic system initiatives to modernize sales compensation reports from Mainframe to web based applications utilizing Tableau, ICETOOL, and DB2;
Developing Mainframe software utilizing JCL, DB2, REXX, Table bases, Endevor, and IOF on MVS Mainframe platform;
Developing and testing code to meet business requirements utilizing COBOL, DFSORT, MFS, SAR, SDSF, JCL, and DataSets;
Developing COBOL and DB2 programs to build exchange broker certification validation utilizing DFSORT, IBM File Manager, Fault Analyzer, IBM Debugger, Changeman, and IMS DC screens; and
Working on Customer Information Control System (CICS) screen development and COBOL/VSAM file processing for medical claim processing and reporting.
80% travel required nationally.
