Work you'll do

Background:The government agency is modernizing and leveraging cloud technologies to improve the delivery of agency services while also enhancing its infrastructure capabilities. As part of the effort, the government agency's OCIO is establishing a combined cyber and network vendor supported services contract. The integrated team will provide one common approach to networking and security services. This requirement will be administered centrally to directly support ITOS and Cybersecurity Divisions.

Description:Design, implement and maintain highly available software and hardware-based firewall solutions.Maintain firewall layer 3 services including traffic management, routing and quality of service.Design, implement, and maintain firewall rules currently supporting a VMware NSX environment utilizing service using Palo Alto firewalls to achieve a fully micro-segmented datacenter solution. During a future transition to the Azure cloud the contractor will provide the technical support to use of Azure Firewalls in place of these solutions.Configure additional firewall services including URL filter, Malware sandboxing, threat prevention, layer 7 filtering, managing threat intelligence feeds.

Qualifications

Required:

• 7+ years' experience in engineering, implementing, and supporting a wide variety of enterprise class network solutions including expert level support qualifications for Palo Alto firewalls, Microsoft Azure Premium firewalls

• 7+ years' experience working with VMWare backed networks and hosts, service inserted firewall solutions, traffic steering algorithms in VMware based systems, micro-segmentation strategies and flow based firewalling solutions

• 7+ years' experience implementing user and application-based inspection algorithms, expert level support of physical and virtual Palo Alto based firewall solutions, advanced understanding of layer 3 technologies including routing protocols such as BGP, experience with various VPN technologies

• 2+ years' project lead and management experience, demonstrable history of leading successful deployments of enterprise class solutions, skilled at producing technical documents and engineering diagrams

• Current active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required

• Bachelors Degree required

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  Location:Telework acceptable, but candidates are required to be located within a 50-mile radius of Boyers, PA or Macon, GA in the event of catastrophic outages.

• AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

• AZ-700 Designing and Implementing Azure Networking

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

• Palo Alto Accredited Certification Engineer (ACE)
