Contracts Central Support Specialist (Government Contracts Operations Specialist)

As a Government Contracts Operations Specialist within our GPSC Central Support team you will be:

  • Responsible for completion of key contract administration activities in support of the Contracts and Subcontracts teams. Contract Administration activities include but not limited to the review & approval of invoices, tracking and alerting engagement teams of scheduled deliverables, performing competitive pricing analysis in support of subcontract procurement.

  • Accountable for ensuring work is completed in accordance with Deloitte policy. Interpret U.S. Government terms & conditions to support compliant financial and contractual operations

  • Expected to effectively manage workload to ensure production is met in accordance with defined SLAs

  • Working directly with Contracts, Subcontracts, and other process stakeholders to clarify questions and resolve potential issues

  • Performing other duties as assigned by management aligned with Contract administration and operations

The incumbent may have the opportunity to rotate to other areas within GPS contracts after demonstrated performance in the role

The Team

The GPSC Central Support team is responsible for the contract administration activities for the Deloitte Government and Public Services (GPS) Practice. The Specialist will provide the necessary support to compliant delivery of key contract and subcontract administration activities. The Specialist will work directly with team members, other Contracts personnel, Project Engagement Leadership and Enabling Area POCs to coordinate all the relevant information required to facilitate compliant contract and subcontract management.



  • Strong critical thinking, consultative and communication skills

  • Experience working in a client focused environment

  • Basic knowledge of U.S. Federal, State, Local, and Higher Education Contracting regulations

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision

  • Ability to effectively work collaboratively with teams

  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Decision Making/Judgement Skills Required:

  • With minimal assistance, identify and coordinate key compliance, contractual, and execution risk items

  • Independently review accuracy of data provided. Ability to review large, complex contractual documents and summarize key compliance requirements

Ability to clarify questions and resolve potential issues with stakeholders
