Work You ll Do
Responsible for collecting, preserving and analyzing vast amounts of data collected for commercial investigations and litigation as part of an eDiscovery area. Work with local and international teams on Computer Forensics and eDiscovery analysis of audit papers metadata for data validation. Responsible for implementation of new tools and methods for data preservation, transformation and processing. Preserve electronic physical data, including laptops, desktops, handheld devices using forensically sound methodologies while maintaining chain-of-custody, as well as websites and social media preservation. Perform forensic analysis using Encase, Access Data Forensic Toolkit and/or open source forensic tools and interpret results. Coordinate eDiscovery legal review projects, providing support on kCura's Relativity environment and case management. Present findings to clients. Provide proactive solutions and recommendations to clients.
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Eighteen months of computer forensics experience.
Experience must include eighteen months of:
Applying computer forensics and eDiscovery techniques for collection, processing, and analysis of Audit papers, detection of metadata inconsistency, and identification of potential fraud on local and international cases, using ETL tools to transform data and recognize patterns;
Utilizing forensic tools, including Tableau Write Blocker, Guidance Encase, Access Data FTK, and MacQuisition, Windows, and Linux scripting to image laptops, desktops, and servers;
Utilizing forensic tools for mobile data extraction and forensic investigation reporting, including Cellebritte UFED Touch, Cellebrite Physical Analyzer, and MSAB XRY, to collect data from tablets, phones, and other digital sources;
Investigating collected images and analyzing raw data for potential digital incidents, including data loss, data recovery, data fragments analysis, fraud investigation, user access behavior, file system analysis, messaging and communication analysis for mobile devices, and similar forensic activities;
Creating scripts for specific forensic collections, including Microsoft Exchange mailbox extraction, Microsoft Lync extraction, and SQL databases and Linux servers code-based data extractions;
Utilizing X1 Social Discovery and Nuix Collector tools to collect data from web-based sources, including websites, social networks, and Microsoft Sharepoint sites, as well as case management and data extraction for processing;
Coordinating data collection and eDiscovery teams to perform computer forensic activities, including forensic equipment planning, use of data decryption processes, and data transformation using Python scripting;
Installing and utilizing kCura Relativity Processing console and eDiscovery platforms to perform workspace maintenance, permission and data security management, fields and layouts modification, database scripting, data visualization, and data searching with advanced syntaxes;
Installing and using eDiscovery analytics tools, including Brainspace and kCura Relativity Assisted Review, for data visualization and data clustering to develop search and review strategies for eDiscovery projects; and
Installing and using Nuix Workstation and Nuix Server software platforms for data processing, document review, metadata analysis, case management, and reporting.
Position requires approximately 80% travel.
