As a Sr. Service Designer you will fulfill three main responsibilities:
Objective 01: Articulate the current and aspirational experiences of government; the unmet and often previously unknown needs of both provisioners and consumers of government services; and the operational and technological structures fostering those experiences to inform program, service, and product innovation
Objective 02: Leverage your knowledge and skills in facilitation, research, sensemaking, and design to deliver a range of assets, including but not limited to: human insight reports, service blueprints and roadmaps, personas, design principles, and service prototypes of various fidelities
Objective 03: Work directly with Deloitte Government and Public Service design leadership to grow the eminence, presence, and impact of design

Work you ll do
In our practice you will:
Serve as an integrator between human needs, organizational value, and technological feasibility to define new models of service
Conduct relevant research to inform strategy
Contribute to codification of GPS service design approach and methodology
Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
Assist in proposal development as requested
Evolve into a leader through role modeling service design to the practice, mentoring others, and continuing to grow your knowledge and skills
Take responsibility for developing aesthetically pleasing, intellectually satisfying service design deliverables
Work closely with both internal, cross-functional teams and external clients on projects of varying length and complexity

Our Federal Deloitte Digital practice works with a broad array of clientsto create advanced mobile applications, using agile development methods and small cross-functional teams of Developers, Service Designers, UX Designers, Visual Designers, and QA Engineers.
Bachelor's degree in design, anthropology, sociology, psychology, or related field and 5 to 7 years of experience.
Process and deliverables across the service design life cycle to set both strategic direction and tactical implementation of services
Well-rounded knowledge of design techniques across data visualization, UX, and service design
Proven ability to effectively prioritize your workload and the workload of more junior peers to meet deadlines and objectives
Proficiency with general computing applications and specialized design tools ranging from MS office through Adobe CC, envision, Principle, etc.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this role
Courage to construct and defend rationales for design outcomes
Master s Degree in design, HCI, anthropology, sociology, psychology, or related field
Prior professional services and/or federal consulting experience
Prior experience working with solution teams to ensure translation of service into end-to-end, working services at scale
Experience producing data-centric UX
Demonstrated working knowledge of data fundamentals and infographics
Ability to transform static compositions into interactive prototypes utilizing one or more of the following tools: Marvel App, Envision, Adobe XD, etc.
Cursory experience with front-end prototyping languages, including, but not limited to HTML, CSS, JS
Experience defining omnichannel service platforms
