Records Management Consultant

The Enterprise Technology Practice works with clients to transform their technology services and operations and provide enterprise-wide service transformation. Working with CIO, Technology Executives, Services Owners, and their teams to establish an operating model for technology based on the implications of NextGen and advanced technologies, new and evolving service models for technology and the operational expectations of an organization.

Work you ll do

The Deloitte team is partnering with a government agency to provide professional, timely, and accurate support of the Records Division within the agency.

Responsibilities include organizing and managing the flow of agency records, collecting data on records inventory and reporting analysis, and facilitating communication across various departments. Records Management Business Analysts employ consistent cross-departmental communication pertaining to records management to assemble responses consisting of applicable language, statistics, and other relevant facts. Records Management Business Analysts conduct stakeholder outreach and cross-training supporting the implementation of the Records Management program across the Agency. This includes drafting and managing work products such as stakeholder correspondences, training presentations and management reports/briefs that assemble critical analyses, facts and findings supporting the Agency s Records Management program. These work products support effective decision-making among executives responsible for the planning and execution of the Agency s Records Management mission.

Additional responsibilities include proofreading work products to ensure accurate use of grammar, punctuation, and style, and performing simple mathematical calculations to ensure accuracy and consistency of data. They also perform overall coordination and tracking of records management work products (e.g. file plans, schedules, inventories) involving varying procedural steps to completion.

Our Agile/DevOps/Lean technology experts work to transform the workforce of our clients into the next generation of technology service delivery teams.

Qualifications

Two years of relevant work experience

Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong communication (written and verbal) as well as presentation and analytical skills

Ability to work on client site in Washington, DC

Strong client relationship management skills

Ability to work independently and with a team

Ability to problem solve and present solutions to management

Public Trust security clearance or ability to achieve Public Trust

Knowledge or experience with Federal Records Management processes (e.g., Federal Records Scheduling, Federal Records Center operations, Federal Records disposal, etc.)

Experience with records management software is a plus

Experience organizing records of various subject matters in a comprehensive manner
