Summer Scholar - Strategy & Operations
This summer, jump start your career and take your business skills to the next level when you join Deloitte Consulting LLP's Strategy & Operations Competency group. We re looking for a sharp, critical thinker with a gift for analysis to help us develop and implement actionable recommendations to our client s largest issues. If you re an outside-the-box thinker who enjoys exploring how strategy, process improvement, and technology help shape the future of our clients organizations, then you may be the right fit for the role.
Work You ll Do
As a Strategy & Operations Summer Scholar, you ll be assigned to a client project and will collaborate with team members to help dynamic organizations tackle their complex problems and drive tangible results. You ll assist in outlining the requirements of clients projects and programs and help make presentations that communicate research and strategy in an easy-to-understand, visually attractive way. Bring your creativity and innovative problem-solving skills to take on a variety of finance, strategy, marketing, and other operations challenges. This person should have strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and communicate findings. During your internship, you ll broaden your consulting and leadership skills while developing your network of fellow students and Deloitte practitioners.
Strategy & Operations Summer Scholars will work with teams on activities such as the following:
Architect enterprise, customer, and operating model strategies
Advise clients on how to grow, integrate, and fundamentally evolve their organizations
Strengthen client relationships and develop strategies that leverage digital technologies and human centered design
Transform the heart of the organization and advise clients on standardized procedures and tools for increased efficiency
Develop strategic capabilities for core support functions
Drive core lifecycle activities to shape our client s needs
Our Strategy & Operations practitioners offer insightful recommendations and data-fueled strategies to help our clients address some of their most complex issues. We are a diverse and talented team that supports a collaborative culture and delivers value through the application of strategy and operational improvements. We tackle our clients operational strategy, financial management, supply management, innovation, and growth issues and help to enhance their performance, productivity, and strategic priorities. Junior standing in a full-time academic program with a target graduation date between December 2019 and June 2020
Pursuing a bachelor s degree in business, engineering, technology, math, economics, analytics, liberal arts, or a related field
Strong academic track record (recommended minimum GPA of 3.4)
Availability to participate in the Summer Scholar Program full-time for 8-10 weeks from June to August 2019
Ability to travel 80-100%
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
