Deloitte Government Contracts Operations Specialist in Arlington, Virginia

Work you ll do

As a Government Contracts Operations Specialist within our team you will:

  • Facilitate communication between Enabling areas and delivery personnel relative to address questions and resolve challenges that arise during the start-up and system set-up of projects.

  • Responsible for the COE action intake process

  • Under the direction of the COE Manager executes the processing of daily COE work in process in conjunction with team members

  • Reviews deliverables from process stakeholders for accuracy

  • Reviews the accuracy of COE artifacts prior to their delivery

  • Identifies issues during project start up provides resolution recommendations and appropriately escalates (as needed)

  • Effectively manages workload and coordinated across the COE team to ensure production is met

  • Works directly with PPDs and other process stakeholder leadership to clarify questions and resolve potential issues

  • Identifies key compliance and items in contract documentation

  • Other Duties as assigned by management aligned with COE operations and improvements

  • The incumbent may have the opportunity to rotate to other areas within GPS contracts after demonstrated performance in the COE

The team

The Project Start-Up Center of Excellence (COE ) is responsible for the day to day processing of all fully executed net new awards, option periods, and contract modifications for the Deloitte Government and Public Services (GPS) Practice. The Senior Analyst will provide consultative and strategic guidance throughout the lifecycle of the COE process (from contract award to WBS set-up). The Senior Analyst will be responsible for the development of weekly and monthly reports related COE metrics, and process improvement activities. The Senior Analyst will work directly with COE team members, other Contracts personnel, Project Engagement Leadership and Enabling Area POCs to coordinate all the relevant information required to facilitate compliant and timely project start up and set-up. The Senior Analyst must have an understanding of Deloitte s GPS client service delivery framework in combination with GPS contracting and be able to leverage this knowledge in support of the COE s objectives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong knowledge of the Deloitte Client Service Delivery Model

  • Strong consultative and communication skills

  • Cursory knowledge of Federal, State, Local, and Higher Education Contracting regulations

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work collaboratively with teams

Decision Making/Judgement Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work collaboratively with teams

  • With minimal assistance identify and coordinate key compliance, contractual, and execution risk items with delivery teams and other EA personnel

  • Independently review accuracy of data provided by Enabling Areas

  • Quality checks COE team member work and facilitates accurate completion and delivery of COE artifacts

  • Communicate with PPDs, project managers and other executives to clarify questions and resolve potential issues

  • In coordination with COE manager discern risks and make trades to facilitate complaint and timely process execution

Preferred:

  • Bachelor s Degree

  • 5 years of relevant work experience

  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Lifecycle

  • Direct Federal, State, Local and Higher Education Contracting experience (3 years)

  • Working knowledge of Deltek CDM and Costpoint
