Deloitte Federal Payroll Processing Lead in Arlington, Virginia

Work you'll do

As a Payroll Processing Team lead within our HRT team you will:

  • Ensure accurate processing and recording of our client's payroll, providing timely and accurate information

  • Participate in daily data entry payroll processing

  • Resolve transactions and standard cases such as:

  • Process garnishments and child support, lump sum and compensatory time payments, VLTP recipient applications, position-impacting, pay impacting, and separation personnel actions

  • Respond to interrogatories on court orders and process FEHB or FEGLI court orders

  • Benefit changes upon LWOP/RTD and calculations of Service Computation Dates

  • Research employee records and understand the HR and payroll systems and the data that resides within

  • Provide a positive impact in a rapidly paced environment

  • 4 years of experience having served a Federal sector client(s) in processing Federal Payroll actions

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role


  • Preferred Candidate possesses a minimum of 4 years prior knowledge and experience in processing Federal Payroll actions using Federal HR systems in at least 3 of the following functional areas and specializes in at least 2 of the following areas: Leave Audits, Union Dues, Debt Management (Child Support and Garnishments), Pay Documents, Lump Sum Payments (Annual and Comp time), Manual Payments, and the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program.

  • Bachelor's Degree
