Deloitte Federal Billing Manager in Arlington, Virginia

Work you ll do

As a Manager within our team you will:

  • Manage accounts receivable for a portfolio of government client accounts, specifically Department of Defense and Department of Justice

  • Monitor unbilled receivables and aging accounts receivable

  • Resolve complex receivable issues (i.e., contract close-out, general ledger cost postings)

  • Oversee operational billing processes performed by a team of Billing Analysts

  • Review booked to billed reconciliations

  • Manage invoice adjustments (i.e., overpayments, invoice cancellations, rate adjustments)

  • Perform quality reviews

  • Facilitate training and provide guidance to a team of Billing Analysts

  • Respond to government regulator and/or 3 rd party audit requests, to include voucher reviews, contract or funding close-outs and/or business system audits

  • Recommend and implement financial controls and process improvement solutions to meet contractual requirements, in accordance with Deloitte policies and government statutes and regulations

The GPS Enabling Areas team provides top notch support to Deloitte s internal business units by developing new products and services to sustain competitive advantage, while consistently improving our existing collection of systems, processes, and functions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or other business-related field

  • 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, economics, or business management

  • 10 years of relevant government client/contracting experience in an accounting process, such as invoicing, general accounting, finance, account reconciliations and analysis

  • Experience with online invoicing systems such as WAWF/iRAPT, IPP, MPO, HHMSA

  • Knowledge of FAR/DAR/JTR/FTR/GSA

  • Experience leading and managing virtual teams

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Extremely detail oriented and organized

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Strong time management skills

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a professional services government contracting environment

  • Deltek Costpoint experience
