Financial Services Industry - Manager

The Deloitte Encore Program is specifically designed to enable seasoned professionals who have left the workforce for two or more years to return to work. This paid, fourteen-week program offers an opportunity to enhance your skills while providing you a role in a client service environment. A network of Deloitte professionals will be assigned to provide you with relevant training and mentorship and will help support your professional growth while you gain hands-on experience.

This cohort of the Deloitte Encore Program is scheduled to begin in January 2020. About Deloitte s Financial Services Industry (FSI)

The US Financial Services Industry (FSI) Consulting group includes Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance, Investment Management, and Real Estate. Our Financial Services Industry (FSI) practice brings together multidisciplinary capabilities and teams of client service professionals with diverse experience and knowledge to provide customized solutions for our clients. Our practitioners are further aligned to specific capability groups, offering our Financial Services clients a host of services ranging from data driven analysis to key market insights as we help them manage day-to-day operations as well as long term business complexities.

Banking and Capital Markets (BCM)

As a leader in providing professional services to the Banking and Securities industry, Deloitte works with its clients to address a range of issues including shifting industry landscape, FinTech disruption/innovation acceleration, increasing regulatory demands, and performance improvement. Our cross-functional industry group is comprised of more than 8,600 professionals, providing a spectrum of assurance and advisory, tax, enterprise risk, regulatory, and consulting services to banking and securities companies. Deloitte s Banking & Capital Markets' growth is expected to accelerate to about 7% through 2020.


As leaders in providing professional services to the Insurance industry, Deloitte works with clients to address a range of critical issues brought on by globalization, advances in technology, regulatory changes, competition, and the changing demands of their customers. Our national cross-functional industry group is comprised of more than 2,300 professionals, providing a spectrum of assurance and advisory, enterprise risk, tax, actuarial, regulatory, and consulting services to a broad range of insurance companies.

Investment Management and Real Estate

As leaders in providing professional services to the Investment Management industry, Deloitte works with clients to address a range of critical issues brought on by regulatory changes, competition, globalization, advances in technology, and the changing demands of their customers. Our cross-functional industry group is comprised of over 8,000 partners, managers and staff, providing a spectrum of assurance and advisory, tax, enterprise risk, regulatory and consulting services to a broad range of investment management companies.

Work you ll do:

Our practitioners work collaboratively within integrated, cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive strategies that enable business and technology transformations. Teamwork is crucial as teams are composed of a diverse group of specialists across multiple disciplines from both within our consulting practice and from our clients, helping drive towards a successful outcome. Our practitioners are expected to own and deliver their respective deliverables while managing different clients and other stakeholders.



A Bachelor s Degree

6 years of relevant consulting or banking & capital markets industry experience

Strong client relationship skills

Excellent articulation, communication and strong inter personal skills

Ability to work with the Business and IT leadership

Ability to work with a multi-location team

Manage teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures

Proven ability towards driving business process improvement initiatives

Experience in designing operating models and technology and process architecture, and developing operations and technology strategy roadmaps

Ability to take major ownership in orchestrating client workshops and facilitate customer interactive sessions

Experience in participating in transformation initiatives for mid to large scale organizations

Experience in developing business case and TCO analysis drawing tangible connections between strategy and financial-success metrics

Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time


Technical Skills:

oExperience in big data, data integration and data warehouse projects

oIMRE Platform skills / experience (e.g., Aladdin, CharlesRiver, Salesforce, Calypso, Bloomberg AIM etc.)

oExperience in Risk and Finance architecture & platform solutions (Oracle / Workday)

oLoanIQ expertise

oD H payment hub expertise

oExperience with Guidewire - Suite (Policy, Billing, Claims), Digital/Portal, Integration

oExperience with SmartCommunications CCM

Functional Skills:

oExperience in Capital Markets Operations and Technology

oAnalytics expertise in Banking & Capital Markets

oP&C insurance product knowledge (product models - coverages, exclusions, limits, etc.; rating; forms)

oExperience with agile delivery, SAFe scaled agile, agile transformation

oPortfolio management, operation models and systems, investment compliance, research, performance, portfolio accounting
