Data Analytics Lead

Work you ll do

In this role you will:

  • Support the functional manager in requirements, feasibilityanalysis, provide support for mission-related research needs

  • Lead analytic research planning and implementationincluding, but not limited to: defining the analytic problem statement;identifying relevant source data to address problem statement; exploring andunderstanding source data; pulling and joining data; extracting features;cleaning data; building and evaluating models (including processing features,selecting features, optimizing the model).

  • Provide support with scoping, developing, andreporting work products with credibility and scientific rigor to the client

  • Research, design, and implement prototypes and pilots formachine learning and artificial intelligence solutions for mission-relatedresearch needs

  • Support the technical manager to design and develop analyticreports, visualizations, and dashboards using Tableau or other feasiblevisualization software

  • Lead the design, development, and reporting of end-to-endprocess documentation for PRF file processing

  • Support the functional manager in scoping processdocumentation needs and coordinating with stakeholders to gather, manage, andassess existing materials and identify gaps

Travel up to 5% (While 5% of travel is a requirementof the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended untilfurther notice.)

The Analytics & Cognitive team leverages the power of data,analytics, robotics, science and cognitive technologies to uncover hiddenrelationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and informdecision-making. Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy &Analytics portfolio helps clients transform their business by architectingorganizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win intheir chosen markets.

Analytics & Cognitive will work with our clients to:

Implement large-scale dataecosystems including data management, governance and the integration ofstructured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-basedplatforms

Leverage automation, cognitiveand science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribeactions

Drive operational efficiency bymaintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise and providingAs-a-Service offerings for continuous insights and improvements

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3 years of experiencewith programming languages such as SQL, R, Python

  • Experience in a technical or functional lead role

  • Obtain andmaintain a US security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in ComputerScience, Engineering, Mathematics or other business-related field from accredited college or university

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentationcreation tools, as well as Internet research tools

  • Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to identify processimprovement opportunities

  • Knowledge of data mining,machine learning, data visualization and statistical modeling

  • Travel up to 5% (While 5% of travel is a requirementof the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended untilfurther notice.)

Preferred:

  • 5years of relevant consultingor industry experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Prior professional services or consulting experience

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experienceexercising mature judgment

  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner thatappeals to a wide audience
