Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consultant, Enterprise Operations, Supply Chain Networks in Rosslyn, VA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Advising, implementing, and operating transformational solutions that bring world class supply network capabilities, operational know-how, digital technologies, advanced analytics, and industry-specific hybrid solutions to deliver unprecedented client value. Participating in various aspects of the full software development lifecycle for software applications, which may including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Evaluating clients technology needs, developing customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identifying and mitigating risks in process and technology for client engagements. Functioning as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients business needs. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Developing dashboard wireframes and designing requirements based on discussion with an understanding of technical and visual design considerations. Developing and maintaining project deliverables for clients for all phases of the software development lifecycle to substantially build the system functionalities. Creating test cases and performing functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Researching user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Tracking application defects using defect tracking tools; coordinating defect resolution efforts, and documenting resolution details. Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Estimating time and resources needed for the development work. Designing sub-components of larger application systems. Integrating the applications with each other and continuously optimizing the system structure to improve stability and performance. Implementing business requirements and solving industrial automation requirements utilizing Thingworx and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Internet of Things (IOT). Using IOT hardware technologies including sensors, Global Positioning System (GPS) devices, and ZigBee to implement full IOT solution. Utilizing communications protocol including Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), Bluetooth, and Near Field Communication (NFC) to enable communication between hardware and software in order to collect and use data to meet business requirements. Utilizing AWS and Azure to provide scalable and available designs for solutions. Integrating third party services and products into systems with external Representational State Transfer (RESTful) and Simple Object Access Protocol Application Programming Interface (SOAP API) to allow the system to integrate with services and create a fully inclusive solution for the client. Creating dashboards and user interfaces for final IOT solutions using Java Script and Java, in order to provide insight and actionable data for the client. Utilizing database systems including Oracle, MySQL, and AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) in order to store and analyze data collected from IOT systems. Using Agile and Full Development Lifecycle methodologies to provide technical solutions and development methodologies in an efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), CIS, MIS or a related field.

  • One year of experience as a Consultant, Engineer III, or a position in a related occupation.

  • Must have one year of experience with:

  • Implementing business requirements and solving industrial automation requirements utilizing Thingworx and AWS IOT;

  • Using IOT hardware technologies including sensors, GPS devices, and ZigBee to implement full IOT solution;

  • Utilizing communications protocol including HTTP, TCP, Bluetooth, and NFC to enable communication between hardware and software in order to collect and use data to meet business requirements;

  • Utilizing AWS and Azure to provide scalable and available designs for solutions;

  • Integrating third party services and products into systems with external RESTful and SOAP API to allow the system to integrate with services and create a fully inclusive solution for the client;

  • Creating dashboards and user interfaces for final IOT solutions using Java Script and Java, in order to provide insight and actionable data for the client;

  • Utilizing database systems including Oracle, MySQL, and AWS RDS in order to store and analyze data collected from IOT systems;

  • Using Agile and Full Development Lifecycle methodologies to provide technical solutions and development methodologies in an efficient manner.

  • 80% travel required.
