Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Work you ll do
Lead/supportimplementation of core cloud components and document critical design andconfiguration details to support enterprise cloud initiatives. The CloudInfrastructure Engineer will be primarily responsible for utilizing technicalskills to coordinate enhancements and deployment efforts and to provide insightand recommendations for implementing client solutions. Engineers will workclosely with other cloud teams, project managers, engineers, and otherfunctions.
Consulting with clientstakeholders on strategies for deployment of new cloud technologyimplementations, monitoring and optimization of existing equipment
Delivering end-to-endinfrastructure management solutions in a cloud environment
Improving infrastructureoperations through better use of monitoring, cloud coding and scriptingbest practices
Automating infrastructuremigration to cloud environments
Implementing cloud governance, build, deployment and monitoringstandards for the clients
Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.
Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
Ability to obtain Secret clearance
At least 2 yearsof experience with server virtualization
At least 2 yearsof experience with any of the following technologies: AWS, VMWare, MicrosoftAzure or Google Cloud Platform
Must be legally authorizedto work in the United States without the needfor employer sponsorship, now or at any timein the future
3 years ofexperience with Virtualization: Virtualization Server, Storage, Desktop,Network; Reducing Sprawl
3 years ofexperience with Infrastructure-Based Processes: Monitoring, Capacity Planning,Facilities Management, Performance Tuning, Asset Management, Disaster Recovery,Data Center support
2 years ofexperience with Servers, Infrastructure, Platform Sizing, Infrastructure CostReduction
2 years ofexperience with legacy system engineering assessments, discovering the buildand details surrounding the system in order to re-build it in a new hostedenvironment
