Deloitte Financial Risk and Reporting Consultant with active clearance in Alexandria, Virginia

GPS Advisory Overview :

GPS Advisory helps organizations build valueby taking a Risk Intelligent approach to managing financial, technology andbusiness risks. This approach helps our clients focus on their areas ofincreased risk, bridge silos to effectively manage risk across organizationalboundaries, and seek not only risk mitigation, but also pursue intelligent risktaking as a means to value creation.

Financial Risk Transactions and Restructuring (FinRisk) Overview:

FinRisk is an area within GPS Advisory whichis comprised of professionals who possess competency and experience in thefollowing areas:

  • Audit, Audit Readiness and/or InternalAuditing

  • Financial reporting

  • Internal controls

  • Regulatory compliance

  • Risk management

  • Business and operational processes

FinRisk professionals use these skills to assess,analyze, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of governance, financialand operational control processes, offer recommendations to improve operations,and assist clients with enterprise risk and compliance activities.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required for this role

  • BA/BS degree with a concentration inAccounting, Finance or related field

  • Experience ingovernmental accounting, including but not limited to, the followingcapabilities:

  • Performing financial statement auditsand/or auditability assessments

  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing,validating, and reconciling financial/accounting information

  • Knowledge of Federal accounting andtransaction process, internal control objectives and generally acceptedaccounting principles

  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404and/or OMB Circular A-123 documentation, testing and reporting requirements

  • Knowledge of risk assessment and/orenterprise risk management concepts

  • Audit readiness experience

  • Financial Reporting, auditorinteractions, attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA, CFE, CIA, CISA, CGFM, or CDFM certification

  • Governmental accounting experience in the IC

  • Demonstrated experience with Momentum software
