Onsite Medicaid PMO Project Manager

Deloitte Consulting LLP is seeking a talented Onsite Medicaid PMO Project Manager to join our team to serve as the day-to-day leader for onsite staff and the primary point of contact for firm coordination. This Project Manager will lead a team in the roll out of major Medicaid programmatic changes and facilitate the team s understanding and management of internal and external stakeholder expectations, fiscal implications, and challenging timelines. The Project Manager will monitor issues and deliverables across multiple workstreams for small, medium, and large scale initiatives. This Project Manager will manage key client meetings, oversee complex implementation plans, and establish and maintain strong client relationship.

Managers are professionals with strong records of academic and professional achievement who have the capacity and desire for continuous development and growth. The Project Manager in this role must have a strong history of organizational decision-making, operational execution and effective resource allocation. Deloitte Consulting professionals must also be capable of working and communicating with people at all levels of an organization. Responsibilities typical of a manager on one of these projects could include:

Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope

Oversee work plans for multiple components of an engagement

Manage activities between work streams

Provide guidance to junior practitioners as they manage large, confidential and complex data sets

Conduct client interviews and facilitate client meetings

Develop process flows depicting pain points in the business process

Conduct detailed analyses to draw conclusions, and develop pertinent and insightful recommendations

Design and manage deliverable content to reflect the engagement contract

Present findings and recommendations to client leadership

Mentor and develop junior staff

To qualify for ourMedicaid PMO Project Managerrole, you should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources, communications, industrial and organizational development/psychology or a related discipline

  • 3 years of relevant consulting or industry experience

  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment

  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools

  • 3 years data analysis experience and/or familiarity working with large datasets

  • Experience communicating data analysis findings and trends

  • Demonstrated team-building abilities

  • Creativity, self-confidence and flexibility

  • Must be willing to live and work in the Albany, NY area

  • Willingness to travel up to 10 percent
