Work you ll doSenior consultants perform detailed, quantitative analysis work associated with developing meaningful insights to address health care providers biggest challenges. These challenges encompass everything from helping providers increase revenues, decrease costs, accelerate cash flow, improve margin and operational workflows by addressing people, processes, and technology across every aspect of the project lifecycle. Responsibilities typical of a senior consultant on one of these projects could include: Participate in setting engagement objectives and scopeDevelop work plans for specific components of an engagementCoordinate activities among work streamsManage large, confidential, and complex data setsConduct client interviews and facilitate meetingsDevelop process flows identifying challenges and opportunities in business processesConduct detailed analyses, draw conclusions, and develop pertinent and insightful recommendationsProduce client-ready deliverablesPresent findings and recommendations to client leadershipMentor and develop junior staff The team About our Provider Enterprise Health Systems Solutions PracticeDeloitte works with healthcare operational leaders and clinicians to lead them in their efforts to tailor a successful approach for improving patient care delivery and reducing administrative costs while complying with electronic health record (EHR) mandates. This is where experience matters. Our consulting teams include former industry operational leaders, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and technologists that have helped leading healthcare systems, academic medical centers and community healthcare systems and independent facilities realize significant cost savings while transforming how they serve patients. Qualifications Required:Bachelor s degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record5 years of professional experience in a health care provider, health plan, or consulting setting (or 2 years with MBA/MHA/equivalent master degree), which includes 2 years in clinical information systems operations with at least 1 lifecycle implementation of an EHR moduleProfessional competence in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Superior critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExceptional interpersonal, team-building, and communication skillsAbility to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settingsCommitment to personal and professional growthSense of responsibility to self, team, and clientOutstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passionRecord of consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibilityWillingness and ability to travel 80%Must live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte s consulting offices Preferred:5 years of Cerner experience in Rev cycles, Ambulatory or Clinical documentationAdvanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA) from a top tier program2 years of management consulting experience in a health care related fieldCertification in EPIC or Cerner, or training and experience in clinical information systemsExperience working on or leading large-scale CIS implementation initiatives, including development of documentation templates, clinical content, testing scripts, training plans, and implementation plansExperience in clinical workflow redesign How you ll growAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
