The Communications Manager will plan and execute a variety of communications to drive the business objectives of the Alliances organization. Deloitte s alliances organization is aligned with more than 80 of the leading technology companies to develop services and solutions that help our joint clients create more value. This dynamic, growing organization is a key driver for Consulting s strategic priority of cultivating an ecosystem for innovation.The communications professional will work closely with multiple teams alliance leadership, firm leaders, alliance managers, marketers and communication teams to develop internal and external communications objectives, strategy and execution that will align to business objectives. This position reports to Alliance leadership and directly to Deloitte Consulting s Communication Director and team. Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, navigate a complex matrix of teams and stakeholders, and be an efficient and effective problem solver. In addition, the candidate has an operational mindset and can work at both a strategic and tactical level, build key relationships with multiple teams and have the ability to produce high level communications across the board.External Internal CommunicationsDevelop trusted advisor role with members of the broader Alliance teams. Serve as main external and internal communications advisor to a team of Alliance marketers, managers and partners.Lead efforts in creating integrated communications plans which includes, but not limited to: press release creative, messaging, employee communications, employee engagement, thought leadership promotions and other communications activities.Develop broader Alliance narrative to help tell Deloitte s Alliance strategy, create storytelling opportunities that will impact the overall Firm, business.Collaborate closely with Alliance marketing team and communication colleagues throughout the firm to help ensure consistency. Align Alliance communications with overall Consulting Communications strategy, navigate teams that are impacted by alliances.Provide editorial management for all communications vehicles in support of strategic priorities for Alliances. Write, edit, schedule, design, and publish internal communications (leadership communications, articles, newsletter, photo galleries, digital content)Serve as media contact for the Alliance team, implement proactive and reactive media relations strategies (i.e. support at industry conferences, media training, counsel to external alliance PR teams, etc.)Potential to obtain and manage external PR agency team.Play an active role in the wider Consulting and U.S. Communications teams, including seeking out and applying best practices from other Deloitte teams and from outside the organization, and contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous skills developmentHow You ll GrowAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day. Qualifications: 7 years of prior, relevant internal and external communications experience required Knowledge of communications fundamentals with experience leading and managing projects in a global, highly matrixed organization Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in Communications, Journalism, English or a related business field Proven ability to contribute to communication program execution Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high quality results Experience in corporate communications and working closely with and writing for senior executives Knowledge of social media, intranet engagement, and strategic best practices for communications, reader engagement, and user experience Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support communications efforts; including experience delivering email communications using Outlook distribution listsThe teamDeloitte Consulting Alliances Team is made up of professional alliance managers, alliance marketers and technical architects who understand the principles that drive successful alliance relationships.
