The Events Specialist will work closely with the Events Manager and/or Alliance Marketing Mangers to support the administrative and tactical execution of events and meetings that support Deloitte s strategic alliances. Work You ll DoSupport marketing managers and/or Event Manager in activities associated with conferences, tradeshows, roundtables, meetings and receptions.Support events that are interactive and allow Alliance leaders to build relationships with clients and technology partners.Coordinate with vendors and conference producers to meet deadlines and budgets.Assist with the distribution of pre and post show event communicationsHelp to source venue locationsChoose menus that best serve the event objectives and budgetsBuild long-term relationships with conference production companies, restaurant and event locations to increase productivity of event planning.Work with graphic designer and/or Creative Services to assist development of booth properties, banners and onsite signage and collateralCoordinate with Social Media Strategist to leverage social media for creative event campaigns and promotionsProvide onsite event management: booth set-up, booth staffing, reception set-up, attendee registrationQualifications:5 years of relevant marketing experience, with a focus on eventsBachelor s degree in marketing, communications or a related fieldProficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to support event project management Position Skills:Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with demonstrable experience in consistently delivering high quality resultsExpertise in dealing with all management levels within an organization, and ability to work within a matrix organizational structureAbility to exercise sound judgment in interpreting firm policies and objectives Relevant Business Skills:Excellent team player.
