Work you'll do

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Transition Manager would be responsible to ensure delivery of all Transformation and Transition plan as per the accepted plan. Identify risks and issues and communicate through the established escalation paths.

  • Need to update management, personnel, and clients on any prospective transition-related changes.

  • Should be able to proactively spot any transition challenges and solve them as quickly as possible.

  • Coordinating any major transitions within the company, such as financial, technological, operational, and governance changes.

  • Analyzing any internal requests for changes and consulting with management to deny or approve the proposed changes.

  • Creating transitional plans and documents to outline project expectations, scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

  • Conducting workshops to provide staff members with information on any major changes in the company, such as new financial protocols or policies.

  • Ensuring that transitions are planned and carried out in a timely manner and within budget.

  • Keeping all parties involved with the transition updated on its progress.

  • Spotting any transition-related issues and creating effective solutions to resolve them swiftly.

  • Providing company-wide guidance during unplanned changes, such as the passing of a senior employee.

The GPS Human Services Transformation offering designs and implements large, complex systems development and transformation projects to Human Service agencies across federal, state, and local government agencies as well as higher education institutions. With end-users, customers, and workers at the center, we collaborate with our clients to deliver quality human services and work to support individuals in need. Some areas that we focus on include Children Services, Eligibility & Enrollment, Child Support Enforcement, and Labor & Workforce Development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required (In computer science, finance, or a similar field.)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • A minimum of 18 months of experience and past ten (10) years should have experience in performing operational transition activities on Projects involving large and complex IT systems

  • Experience within the past ten (10) years, managing the successful transition of large and complex IT systems from one (1) company or contract to another on at least two (2) separate projects. The Transition Manager's experience will have been for a minimum duration of three (3) months for each project.

  • 2 years' experience in transition management.

  • 2+ years minimum experience of managing transition on one Integrated Eligibility project

  • Solid knowledge of transition management software, such as XenonRTM and Jira.

Preferred:

  • Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,950 to $208,250.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
