Work you ll doThe VP of Rewards Research is the lead for the Rewards Practice and is central to all our research related to talent rewards, compensation, wellness and benefits. As the VP of Rewards Research, you will:Partner with senior management to establish the research roadmap by identifying leading edge trends, understanding the needs of the member base, and maintaining alignment with Deloitte Consulting priorities.Executive on the delivery of the research agenda by leading research and writing projects with the objective of meeting all research agenda goals to drive membership renewal and new business.Engage in thought leadership in industry forums and via social media and blogs.Develop new ideas, models and frameworks that drive our competitive advantage and participate in the development of research-based tools for members and support consulting solutions. Define best practice research models to ensure consistency within the research department.Promote best practice standards and provide hands-on expertise for conducting research and writing case studies, research bulletins, and research reports covering a variety of talent management topics.Conduct interviews, develop industry surveys, and manage other research duties.Create and deliver presentations in person and virtually to the general community and to current and prospective clients.Project-manage research analysts or outside contractors to deliver analysis as needed.Team with Member Advisors and Human Capital Consulting practitioners and work extensively with members, prospective members, and consulting clients, answering questions and providing advice and tools. Respond to complex member calls with senior-level practitioners and answer strategic research-based questions.Be an active contributor and collaborator in department activities, including sharing leading practices and personal experience.Work with the marketing and sales team to help position products and solutions to our prospects.Act as a team leader and coach to more junior members of the team when needed, and may be asked to formally manage others.Promote a personal and organizational brand that sets our research apart from our competitors. QualificationsRequired:10 years of business experience in Human Resources; or related Industry/Vendor Research or consultancy, at least 5 years in a mid- to senior-level leadership roleDemonstrated experience performing quantitative and qualitative analysis which required developing new insights and translating those into longer-form written work (not just PowerPoint)Excellent analytical writing skills, with the ability to produce a high volume of accurate, logical, concise, and insightful writing ready for publishingStrategic thinking and business skills, with ability to understand key business drivers that contribute to business successAbility to contribute to the longer term strategic research agenda to drive revenueExperience working with vendors in the broader HR marketplaces, including technology providers, content providers, consultants, and outsourcing companiesExperience with quantitative survey tools and the ability to lead survey design and executionDemonstrated desire and drive to be a recognized thought leader within the larger HR industry and communityProven strategic thinking and business skills, with ability to understand key drivers that contribute to business successDemonstrated skills in project execution, with ability to consistently produce quality resultsProficiency in creating interview questions to develop insights and key findingsHighly effective presentation development and delivery skills to internal and external audiencesBA/BS in Human Resources, Business, or related disciplineUp to 30% travel requiredPreferred:Master s degree and/or Ph.D. in Human Resources, Business or related disciplineExperience working in a virtual, collaborative environment and providing and accepting continuous feedback and supportHow you ll growAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
