Strategy & Operation Senior Manager, Monitor Strategy Cloud

Work you ll do

Senior Managers are professionals with strong records of academic and professional achievement who have the capacity and desire for continuous development and growth. Deloitte Consulting professionals must also be capable of working and communicating with people at all levels of an organization. Typical project responsibilities of a senior manager could include:

  • Lead engagement planning and budgeting

  • Oversee development and monitoring of work plans for all components of an engagement

  • Manage activities across all work streams

  • Provide guidance to junior practitioners as they manage large, confidential and complex data sets

  • Maintain executive relationships and facilitate client acceptance of proposed solutions

  • Develop process flows identifying challenges and opportunities in business processes

  • Oversee junior practitioners as they conduct detailed analyses, draw conclusions, and develop pertinent and insightful recommendations

  • Define deliverable structure and content to reflect the engagement contract

  • Present findings and recommendations to client leadership

  • Manage engagement economics and risk

  • Mentor and develop junior staff

Deloitte Senior Managers typically work with a project team dedicated to a single client, taking direction from the project partner. They work side by side with Principals/Partner/Directors, often with exposure to C-level executives and organizational leaders. Project teams work onsite with the client team, typically necessitating travel three to four nights a week. Our team provides a depth of experience for clients ranging from communications equipment manufacturers to wireless and wireline phone carriers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record

  • 8 years of professional experience

  • Experience leading or managing teams and change initiatives (especially in a project management role)

  • Strong client relationship skills, and ability to work with Business and IT leadership

  • Experience working with cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS/BPaaS), digital, and analytics solutions

  • Experience with workload assessment, business case development, operational assessment, roadmap creation, vendor selection, and operating model design

  • Experience with budgetary responsibilities related to projects or resources

  • Professional competence in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Superior critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills

  • Sense of responsibility to self, team, and client

  • Outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion

  • Record of consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility

  • Willingness and ability to travel 80%

  • Must live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte s consulting offices

Preferred:

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff

  • Advanced degree ie.g., MHA, MBA) from a top tier program
