Senior Manager- Strategic Cost Transformation, Strategy & Operations

Deloitte s Strategic Cost Transformation offering focuses on structural, enterprise-wide changes that can produce sustainable cost savings and margin improvements. In doing so, we strive to help our clients build scalable cost platforms to drive profitable growth. Based on extensive experience with cost improvement programs across industries, we offer three broad cost reduction strategies that help our clients focus on cost categories tailored to the specific cost challenges at hand.

Work you ll do

Focus on immediate actions to reduce costs, bring stability, and capture savings to avoid further deterioration of the business. You along with team will take action to sustain business to set the stage for growth. As a Senior Manager, you are expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways. You will be responsible for engagement management: Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk. Senior Managers manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors. You will be expected to participate in Business Development, develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Senior Managers must contribute to Practice Development & Eminence: Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thoughtware" and "point- of-view" documents; participate in public speaking events; get published in industry periodicals. We invest in our people, as a Senior Manager you will be responsible for people development, performing the role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.

Manager Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with management consulting in operations improvement, transformation, merger and integration, or business process reengineering

  • Experience in financial analysis and working with data inputs from multiple sources

  • Experience with developing models using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visual Basic, or other tools (Tableau)

  • Experience with working with senior executives to develop, define and execute cost reduction strategies with Fortune 500 companies

  • Experience in delivering global, organizational cost improvement / transformation strategies

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Possession of ability to influence others and lead team

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Ability to travel 80-100%

Preferred:

  • Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements.

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

  • Willingness to mentor junior staff.

  • An advanced degree is preferred

  • Experience and understanding with robotic process automation, including vendors such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc.

  • Familiarity with information technologies and platforms: such as legacy ERP, cloud software services, and customer services applications.

  • Experience with analytics to evaluate and optimize business processes
