Work You ll DoAdvisory Manager in Business Valuation to offer advice to clients on financial, economic and strategic lifecycle events and transactions through four main service areas: Corporate Finance, Forensic & Dispute Services, Reorganization Services and Valuation Services. Provide such services as: transaction advisory services for acquisitions, divestitures and recapitalizations; business valuation; and restructuring. Help companies identify, measure and articulate the value of their assets by providing independent and well-supported valuations. Help clients to properly quantify and articulate values for financial reporting, taxation, transaction, financing, litigation, and strategic management purposes. Understand the requirements associated with the development of value conclusions under GAAP, tax, and regulatory rules that allow companies to understand the value of an entity, asset, or liability so they can make informed business and investment decisions. Manage the day to day aspects of client relationships and projects. Has responsibility for the quality of client deliverables, mentoring and developing staff and senior associates, developing client network, and supporting efforts in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies. #LI-DNI RequirementsMaster's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).Three years of experience performing post-merger and portfolio valuations for public and private entities.Experience must include three years of:Performing valuation of business, debt instruments, equity, legal entities, transactions, divestitures, and goodwill impairment testing in accordance with ASC 350, ASC 718, ASC 805, and ASC 820 standards;Performing valuation and impairment testing of intangible assets, including trademark, trade name, customer relationships, workforce, internally developed software technologies, non-compete agreements, and above- or below-market contracts, for tax compliance, strategic planning, purchase price allocation and financial reporting purposes;Performing valuation services utilizing various approaches, including Discounted Cash Flow method, Market Approach, Guideline Transaction method, Multi-tier Approach, and Asset/Cost approach;Performing valuation of intangible assets utilizing various approaches including Excess Earnings method, Relief from Royalty method, and option pricing models, and forward-looking approaches for complex instruments (comparable and preferred);Reviewing and supporting valuations performed by external appraisers in accordance with FASB, GAAP, and IFRS, and providing support to auditors for fair value reviews of equity and debt instruments for financial reporting purposes as an Independent Fair Value (IFV) specialist;Performing research and valuations using Bloomberg, IBISWorld, Thomson Research, and Capital IQ databases to collect information on publicly traded companies, market parameters and the screening of comparable transaction;Providing support to auditors with fair value reviews of equity and debt instruments for financial reporting purposes as an Independent Fair Value (IFV) specialist; andPerforming business valuation for private equity firms and clients in the technology, media and telecommunication industries.In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience as stated above.Experience must include one year of:Interfacing with client financial managers and executives, accounting professionals, reporting directors, and internal control teams throughout the valuation process.Position requires approximately 10% travel.
