Area: Deloitte Application StudioLocation:Hermitage, TN Job Overview:The AMG Strategy and Design specialist reports to the Service Strategy and Design leader within the Deloitte Application Studios Application Management Group (AMG, formerly SES). The role supports the ongoing review of existing systems and support processes utilized by the DAS Application Management Group and guides the research, selection and implementation activities related to the operations and maintenance of new systems and processes. Researches new and emerging market trends to evaluate the direction and longevity of products, and creates a future vision for products and services. Monitors and reviews compliance to standardized procedures and best practices required by the business objectives, functionality, architecture, and product requirements. Performs a combination of professional and management duties over work staff. Primary Duties:Leads the ongoing strategy and design reviews of existing and new core systems and services in the AMG group to ensure alignment with organizational goals, industry direction and market best practices. Identifies issues and risks created by an ever-changing cyber security environment and develops recommendations and approaches for strategic and operational improvements.Oversees and conducts research on competitive products both internally and externally; Understands business and industry direction to determine and provide advice on product future.Develops strategic planning forecasts, growth projections, performance improvement estimates, cost avoidance metrics, etc. as they relate to strategic objectives. Works with the business leadership and Product Owners to analyze the cost / benefit / risk of a proposal. Creates and maintains executive level communications, presentations and materials for the consumers of AMG services. Designs and executes a communication strategy that is designed to enhance the strategic positioning and operational effectiveness of service offerings.Engages with studio teams to implement new technology and processes to support service offerings. Consults with internal clients, understands and defines scope, articulates the approach and engages projects team for successful implementation.Develops metrics for measuring capacity, risk, and availability; implements strategies to ensure ongoing measurement and compliance.Monitors compliance with standards and procedures, evaluates cyber security concerns and consumes metrics for on-going process improvement recommendations.Provides support to the AMG Service Strategy and Service Design leader as necessary. Required Qualifications:12 years of strategy/design experience related to the implementation, operations, maintenance, and continuous process improvement for enterprise-scale or global systems (10K users) in a consulting or a professional services firm.Experience with designing, implementing, and managing processes and procedures for deploying, operating and supporting enterprise-scale solutions. Demonstrated ability to design and implement operational support models for enterprise-scale or global implementations.Demonstrated ability to navigate and engage with a multi-level, multi-location, and often ambiguously defined organization. Includes exceptional client service skills to communicate, manage and set expectations on behalf of internal services with client service teams.Proficiency in creating product road maps and strategy documentation required.Experience with vendor/supplier management and contract negotiations required. Experience with designing metrics to monitor and measure compliance with SLA required.Strong business communication skills (written and verbal), including ability to effectively present issues, ideas, and solutions in a logical and articulate manner.Ability to manage several deliverables simultaneously with different stakeholders. Proactive and results-orientedPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with Navvia, HP Quality Center, TFS/Urban Turtle, wire-framing or visualization toolsExperience with Agile development process or experience with implementing packaged softwareAdvanced skills in the respective area of responsibility in the following relevant skill areas: HTML, SQL, C#, ASP.NET, WCF, XML/XSLT, JavaScript, JQuery, MS SQL Server, T-SQL, ADO/ADO.NET, SSRS, SSIS, SharePoint, BizTalk Education:Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline Travel Requirements:Occasional, limited travel will be required.
