Work you ll do:The Program Management role is responsible to provide leadership across multiple internal development efforts for innovative, extensible, scalable, robust, and reliable web based enterprise applications. Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management.Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team.Communicate the program vision and project goals to the development teamsManage Agile Scrum development teams, when required:Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives and sprint reviews.Effectively managing time and resources of scrum team.Manage and report on scrum team's velocity and burn down rates.Performing ongoing review of project status, identifying possible risks and implementing risk mitigation solutions in a timely manner.Ensure cross team coordination.Collaborating extensively with all contributors and communicating expectations throughout the project, providing daily and weekly updates to key stakeholders.Track and manage project dependencies across teams The Program Management Team:Our team of subject matter specialists collaborate and align with technical and non-technical stakeholders and work with engineering and technical operations to build and deliver world-class solutions. You will have the opportunity to build your professional skills in a variety of project experiences and be involved in helping our clients understand, analyze, and respond to various business opportunities and challenges presented by the changing marketplace.The position is located in Nashville, Tennessee.Qualifications:BA or BS or equivalent experience is requiredProject Management Professional (PMP) and/or PMI-ACP, CSM, or other relevant certification is requiredA proven track record of successfully implementing systems, software or web development projects (12 years) using Agile methodologies including experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech enterprise development environment with multi-function teams.Solid understanding of systems development life cycle (includes software and systems) models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.Experience overseeing multi-function project teams including Developers, Business Analysts, Server Administrators, Database Administrators, System Architects, and QA Personnel.Balanced business/technical background; sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to technical teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value.Experience in configuring and deploying web applications in an Agile environmentExperience leading teams of distributed developer resources.Sound understanding of RDBMS conceptsExperienced in designing and coding stored procedures using SQL, a plusExperience with JIRA and/or ServiceNowHow you ll growAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
