WorkResponsibilities: As a Tax Senior you will have responsibility for:Serving clients on federal credits and incentives engagements,with a focus on New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) engagements. Screen potential projects for federal and state NMTC eligibilityand gather client data for discussions with Community Development Entities. Managing the review and organization of sources of client data forcredit and incentives analysis. Serving as the lead point-of-contact for client personnel withboth with tax and technical backgrounds. Work with clients to address technical tax and accountingconsiderations to determine the structure that best fits the business and taxplanning needs, presenting the structure to the closing group, and leading NMTCclosing calls. Performdocument review services during an NMTC closing, including reviews of termsheets and financial models, and providing comments on the tax and financialimpacts to clients and address issues to reduce financial risk. Assist clientto remain an eligible borrower over the seven-year period and assist withstrategies for exiting the NMTC. Demonstrate sound judgment and instincts with respect tosupporting the evaluation of complex scenarios involving various credits andincentives opportunities. Developing, mentoring, and motivating Tax Consultants, providingcounseling and career guidance.

The NFTS GlobalInvestment & Innovation Incentives (Gi3) tax team is a national team ofspecialists dedicated to providing comprehensive tax credit and incentiveservices, including the research and development credit, the domesticproduction activities deduction, alternative energy and other federal credits.These benefits are offered for activities conducted in the United States, aswell as research performed in over 30 other countries that offer researchincentives.
QualificationsRequired:3 years experience in the New Markets Tax Credit Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology,or related field CPA, Enrolled Agent, or other appropriate certification Able to travel up to 30%
Preferred:Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, LL.M., or JD Big 4 experience or equivalent in NMTC field
