What you ll do:
As an Operations Manager for the Center, you will contribute to the growth and development of Deloitte Services LP, a subsidiary of the Deloitte US Firms, in a variety of ways, including:
Manage the planning and execution of the Center s proprietary conferences, seminars, and events for its sectors: Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities and Renewable Energy. This includes resources, budget, meeting approval protocols, and project management activities for each event.
Manage the cadence of publishing, events, etc. through project tracking and supporting researchers and marketing through the thought leadership production process.
Maintain a pipeline/tracking system for all of the Center s industry developed research papers. This includes resources, budget, and project management activities for each project with an average of 25 ongoing research projects.
Own the Center s relationships with key strategic firm partners, including risk/QRM, the Office of General Counsel, and independence.
Respond to internal and external requests for information from existing Center research in support of RFPs, ongoing projects, or marketplace presentations, including permission consent requests for use of Center research by third parties.
Provide monthly reporting to support Energy & Resources Industry Council, Market Development, and CEO reporting.
Monitor, track, and evaluate activities and accomplishments. Solicit feedback from internal leadership on effectiveness/quality of efforts and opportunities for future actions; provide recommendations to Energy & Resources industry leadership.
The Operations Manager will help the Center Chief of Staff and Executive Director manage the execution of proprietary events and keep to a cadence of publishing, maximizing the Center s business development objectives. In addition, the Operations Manager will collaborate closely with Deloitte s Energy & Resources leadership team, Chief of Staff, senior sector specialists, marketing, communications and market insights team.
7-10 years of prior relevant experience with a focus on large event management
Previous experience in a large professional services or consulting firm welcomed
Proven ability to drive comprehensive programs and experience in leveraging virtual teams within a professional services firm or other large matrix-managed company
Ability to apply innovative and creative thinking to the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of initiatives
Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously with demonstrable experience in consistently delivering high quality results
Detail orientation to all tasks. Experience being the last reviewer of all customer-ready material a plus
Project management experience complimented by an ability to work autonomously yet transparently
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team, both on location and in a virtual mode, and ability to interact with/influence all levels of management
Excellent oral and written communications skills and professional client service manner suitable for interfacing with senior leadership as required
Ability to travel 20 percent of the time
Undergraduate degree required, concentration in communications, business, or a related field preferred; Master s degree a plus
Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
Knowledge of/experience in the Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, and Renewable Energy industries
